Tips to Help you De-Stress when You are Pregnant with Multiples

Pregnancy is a joy that very woman must enjoy. Though it can take its toll on your health and cause a lot of disruption in your routine; it is the kind of experience that you will cherish. When you are pregnant for the first time there are so many new experiences that you will embark on that it may overwhelm you.

In order to deal with this you need to also make sure you are taking care of yourself and staying fit. Imagine how much more care you will need to take when you are pregnant with multiples.

Being pregnant with multiples will lead to you being tired through most of your day. This fatigue is due to the strain on your legs and back. It can also lead to breathlessness and uneasiness. The first thing that you need to remember is that you must take care of yourself in order to keep your babies healthy. If worrying is leading to your restlessness then you need to stop. Increasing your anxiety levels is not going to help you in any way. Instead of worrying use that energy to relax and unwind.

If you are a homemaker then you must get as much rest as possible. Hire some help to get the household chores in place. This will be needed especially in the final trimester. Soaking your feet in warm water with some bath salts or crystals will help you to get rid of the stress in your body. It will also help to reduce the swelling on your feet.

At the end of the day or when you feel most stressed out draw some hot water and add lavender essential oils or lavender bath salts to the water and soak your feet in them. The aromatic essential oils will help you to relax and gets rid of the restlessness and exhaustion in your feet.

After you are done with soaking your feet you need to start with doing a few deep breathing exercises; this helps you to relax your body and causes a sense of calm. Sit down on your bed with your legs stretched out and place your palms flat down on your thighs. Then take a few deep breaths; breathe in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth.

In this way you are cleansing your respiratory system and also clearing all congestion. Do this for 10 to 15 minutes in order to help you to calm down and relax. Deep breathing is used to reduce heart beats and to control ones blood pressure. It is also a good way to get rid of any anxiety.

Research has also proved that talking to your babies when they are in the womb is a good way to de-stress. In this manner you bond with your children before their birth and also help you to control any anxiety and stress that you may be under.
