Tips to Help you Prevent Loss of Hair
There have been a lot of natural remedies that have emerged to help reduce hair loss. Some of these have gained a lot of popularity due to their success while some have received just the opposite reaction. The only benefit coming out of these two different schools of thought is that some common ground has been reached on the benefits of natural remedies and their effectiveness. There are different herbs that help block the hormone dihydrotestosterone which causes new hair to stop growing.
On an average a person loses anywhere between 50 -100 strands of hair every day. This is replaced by new hair follicles. Age , illness or genetics however has been known to be a factor affecting hair loss. Hair loss is also a sign of illness and therefore if you do notice that you are losing a lot of hair and are developing a receding hair line it is advisable to visit a doctor for a checkup.
Getting a full blood test done will help determine if the cause of hair loss is due to vitamin deficiency or due to a thyroid disorder. Also have a hair examination conducted this will help analyze mineral deficiency or contamination due to metal and metal oxides found in water.
Commercial dyes and shampoos contain a lot of chemicals which could be harmful for the hair. Avoid using excessive quantities of these products and consult a physician on what would be the best product for you. In case you visit a salon for any also try to have a patch test done at least 24 hour prior to check for any reactions. If you have used color on your hair previously then avoid applying more color on top of it instead allow the hair to grow out and have it cut out. Consider using more natural products when it comes to hair colors and avoid frequent coloring as this tends to make the hair brittle and weak.
