Tips to Help You Reduce Body Odor Naturally

The amount of carbohydrates you eat and the speed at which you dress up in the morning and whether or not you snore at night affect your natural body odor, breath and acidity levels. Fortunately there are a few quick fixes that help you to reduce the body odor.

Body odor is caused by bacterial growth on your skin. This is mostly caused by moisture. There are 2 ways to tackle this issue. You must make sure that you towel yourself well after a bath or shower. Make sure that your skin is dry and take time to dry the skin around your neck, thighs and groin and in between toes and fingers. These parts are prone to sweat and it is the sweat that increases the changes of bacterial growth. You must also use an absorbent talcum powder; one with antifungal properties works best. You must use these on all parts of your body that are prone to odor, including your feet.

If your diet consists of foods that are made with ingredients like garlic, pungent spices and other herbs in huge portions then you are at a risk of body odor and bad breath. These herbs also work in your body and generate sulfur producing gases that get released through your lungs and pores. The quick fix for this is to wash your hands, face and neck immediately after the meal. Also use a mouth wash after the meal to prevent you from emitting foul odor from your mouth.

When you brush your teeth in the morning make sure that you pay attention to your tongue. Your tongue captures food particles and converts them into hydrogen sulfide vapors; this gas is foul in smell. Using a mouth wash after eating any food helps to prevent this type of odor.

When you are under stress; your body’s natural reaction is to sweat. In this case you must drink sage tea. It has natural astringent properties that help the body to relax and reduces the amount of water lost in the body in the form of sweat. Release 2 spoons of crushed sage leaves in boiling water and cover the pot with a lid for 10 minutes. The water will release the active properties from the leaves and help the body to relax and de-stress.
