Tips to Help you to Drink More Fluid

Everyone talks about the importance of fluids and water in your diet to keep you fit. Researchers state that you must drink a glass of water every hour to ensure that your body is well hydrated. If your body is well hydrated your muscles work better and ensures a healthy digestive and urinary tract and beautiful healthy skin.

You must aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Keeping a bottle of water in your hand bag helps you a great deal. It keeps you away from grabbing a can of soda when you are traveling.

Keep a bottle of water at your workstation. I have noticed that on several occasions I am extremely thirsty but the effort of walking to the water fountain seems to be difficult and hence I forego the thought of a glass of water till a later time when I complete a task. Keeping a bottle of water on hand also acts as a reminder for you to sip away at regular intervals.

If you body is craving sugar or a change in flavor then you must avoid sodas and colas. Grab a bottle of flavored water instead.

A good option in place of water is fruit juice. Natural fresh fruit juices do not have added sugar and hence they are a good choice. They also have water in them and natural sugars which are healthier than added sugar.

Choosing liquid based foods will be another wise choice. Soups and smoothies, vegetables juices and blends fall in this category.

Breakfast is the best option to loading up on liquids. A bowl of cereal with milk, a cup of coffee and a glass or 2 of orange juice make a healthy breakfast as well as add 8m ounces of liquid to your body. Not a bad start!
