Eat a Skin Friendly Diet

What you eat reflects on your skin. An unhealthy diet makes your skin look sallow and pale. The skin loses its glow and it ages faster. Lack of essential nutrients makes your skin dry, rough and dark. You tend to develop blackheads, acne, pigmentation and dark circles.

You must eat a skin friendly diet to make skin healthy. Skin friendly diet should comprise of vitamin A, B, C, D, E and K along with enough protein, folic acid and calcium. Make your palate colourful by adding red, yellow, green and orange coloured fruits and vegetables to your daily diet. Include mixed nuts, raisins, sultanas and dried apricots and figs as they help to maintain a healthy and young skin.

Eat a Skin Friendly Diet

Drink at least two glasses of milk to get sufficient calcium and protein for maintain healthy blood cells to keep your skin youthful. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water daily to maintain the elasticity of the skin. Dehydration causes skin to crack and it forms aging lines around the mouth, in the corners of your eyes and in the neck.

Do Regular Exercise

Regular exercise boosts the flow of oxygen in the body. It sends blood rushing to each and every cell in the system. It adds a healthy glow to your skin. Aerobic exercises are good cardio workouts. They help to produce endorphin which protects your skin from cell damage.

Include different forms of exercises like swimming, stretching exercises and yoga asanas to tone your muscles, strengthen the bones and to maintain elasticity of the skin. Regular exercise keeps acne, pimples and pigmentation at bay. It also reduces stress level and prevents frown lines and wrinkles.
