Hot flashes can last for several years and there is no telling when they may cease all together. Here are some simple tips that will help you fight back hot flashes.

Pranayam or deep breathing exercise not only shortens the duration of the hot flashes but also makes them much milder and helps them to go away eventually. You should do pranayam every morning before sunrise for fifteen minutes. Sit on a mat in a cross legged position. Take a deep breath and hold it till the count of five. Then exhale slowly to the count of six. Again hold your breath to the count of five and inhale deeply. Repeat this breathing technique.
