Top 10 Skin Care Tips for Healthy Skin

Even if you were born with beautiful skin; you need to invest a lot to keep it healthy and radiant. This comes with knowledge and practice. A well balanced diet with plenty of water and exercise will ensure that your skin is well cared for. If your skin is beginning to look tired, dull or lifeless then you need to follow the tips that I have talked about here. They need to become a part of your skin care routine. Even if your skin does not show any signs of issues you must follow these tips to ensure that your skin is always healthy and radiant.

Start with always using a good sunscreen lotion. This helps to keep your skin free from sun burn and well hydrated. Sun screen lotions and creams lock in the moisture in the body and the skin and keep it healthy and moisturized. It also ensures that the skin is free from sun damage.

You need to invest in a good cleanser. Opt for an oil free cleanser that helps to clean the pores of your skin from deep within. Always use a cleanser that suits your skin type.

Moisturize your skin daily, twice if need be. Focus on your face and neck, your hands, feet and your legs. These are parts of your body that are exposed and that attract attention. You need to use a good moisturizer in order to keep your skin well hydrated. Try and use oil as a moisturizer in the night. You can choose from coconut, olive, almond or lavender oils for the best effects on your skin.

If you have blemishes then you must refrain from touching or popping them. Use a single product to get rid of the spots that are left on the face due to pimples or acne. Avoid using more than one product as it may cause skin irritation.

Remove all traces of make up before you go to bed at night. This ensures that you let your skin breathe and does not clog your pores.

Reduce the amount of chocolate and refined sugars that you consume. These do not promote healthy skin in any way and hence you must avoid them as much as possible. It is okay to indulge occasionally but break any habits of daily chocolate consumption.

Drink plenty of water to flush out all toxins from the body. You can also get rid of acne causing bacteria by flushing out toxins from the body.

Moderation is the key to success. Everything that you do needs to be in moderation; this includes beverages, snacks and caffeine. All these are harmful to your skin and hence you must limit your intake.

Clean your face 3 to 4 times a day. Exfoliate your skin once a week. Use a toner every time you wash your face and moisturize your skin regularly.

Lastly use a face mask once a week to soak excess oils, clean your pores and nourish your skin.
