Tricks that Help to Get Rid of a Nasal Voice

A nasal voice is not the most appealing tones to hear. This becomes an issue when you are talking over the phone or need to address an audience in public. Your career choices are limited if you have a nasal voices. In order to find a cure for this issue you need to understand the reason behind it.

Tension in the throat muscles leads to a nasal tone. This is one reason for a permanent tone; however if you have a temporary tonality issue then it may stem from a variety of issues.

In some cases a nasal congestion or a common cold is the reason for a high pitched change. You may use a few home or herbal remedies to get rid of this congestion; they are simple and effective. Start with a hot water inhalation in order to get rid of the mucus from the body. Taking a decongestant or simply drinking hot water with lemon and honey soothes the throat and gets your tonality in place.

Keep your posture upright; sloughing can be one of the causes of the change in your tone. When you slouch you apply pressure on your respiratory organs and also block the air passage. When this happens it leads to resonance of your voice and this leads to a change in pitch. Always sit or stand with your back straight. Keep your head upright; this gives you enough room to inhale and exhale. Keep your shoulder relaxed in order to prevent pressure on your rib cage.

In order to get bass in your voice you must try breathing exercises; this helps to focus on your breathing as well as clears the throat of any congestion that may be the cause of the discomfort in the throat. Avoid putting pressure on your speech organs when you speak in order to lower your pitch.

Gargle your mouth with salt water daily. This helps to clear congestion in the throat and keeps a sore throat at bay.
