Thus one must take care to avoid the formation of them on your skin. They are known to rapidly multiply and hence one must taker care to prevent them and get rid of them if they are already on your skin.
How do blackheads form?
Our skin produces new skin cells every 15 days. At this time it is important to get rid of the dead skin cells. If the dead skin cells are not taken care off it prevents the regeneration of new skin cells and eventually this leads to the formation of blackheads. To ensure that this does not happen you must exfoliate the skin on your face two to three times a week. This helps to get rid of the dead skin cells, eliminates excess oil from your face and prevents the formation of blackheads. Do not scrub more often as it can lead to irritation on your skin or you may peel the layers of skin from your face. On days that you are not using a face scrub; you must use a wash cloth to cleanse your face. Rub it in the opposite direction on the skin to eliminate all the pollution and oil from your skin.
Salicylic acid and beta hydroxyl acids are common products that are used in the treatment of blackheads and acne. When purchasing a face scrub or a face wash ensure that it has either one of the products.
Use a product that contains benzoyl-peroxide. This helps to kill the bacteria that cause the formation of the blackheads and acne.
