The heat of the summer wind can cause you to get extremely dehydrated and hence one must keep yourself well hydrated with plenty of water and fresh fruit juices. Along with this your attire can say a lot for the health during this season.
First and foremost you must choose lighter fabrics. Heavy fabrics weight you down and prevent you from being able to perspire. If this happens then the heat from the body is unable to escape and then it raises the temperature of the body where by the person then begins to feel uncomfortable and dizzy.
You must also choose lighter colors. Pastel shades are a better option to darker colors as they tend to attract lesser heat to colors like blacks and browns. Also lighter colors helps to soak in any perspiration that you may experience.
Another thing to remember is to avoid wearing synthetic fabrics. Cottons are the best option for the season. Avoid wearing nylons and woolens are out of the question. Cotton fabrics help you skin to breathe and thus cause lesser suffocation and fatigue.
Do not wear clothes that stick to your body or are extremely tight fitting. These fabrics cause a lot of uneasiness and irritation on the skin. If they rub against your skin then they can cause skin rashes and reddening on the outer layer of the skin.
In order to avoid rashes and sun burns you must always wear a sun screen lotion that will protect your skin from tanning and getting darker as a result of exposure to the sun. Most reputed brands help to reflect the sun and hence cause lesser heat getting into your body.
At night you must slather on a rich layer of Aloe Vera lotion or gel onto your skin to soothe any burning sensation or itching that may be a result of improper attire or exposure to the sun.
