The word “fitness” means the status of being physically active to uphold the good physical condition. It implies cardio-respiratory fitness, fitness and figure competition, biological fitness and so on. Fitness of a woman depends upon a number of factors like exercise, nutrition, fertility awareness and her health concerns. All these factors co-relate to the proper functioning and fitness of the woman’s body.Fitness Yoga: Yoga refers to physical and mental discipline of one’s body. The word “yoga” means union. It is a kind of exercise, which believes the coordination between breath and body to the mind’s activity of a particular human being. Actually, yoga is the exercise that creates harmony of mind and body.

Exercises: Exercise is must to keep a woman in good physical shape. Jogging and stretching are good for body warm-up. Morning walk for 10 mins at a particular place and skipping ropes are very good exercises at home. Aerobics plays a vital role in promoting to a fit and healthy body. Energetic dances or dance based energetic exercises are fast-moving and fun for women.

Nutrition: Nutrition is the basic way of keeping a woman fit and healthy. A well-balanced diet is must in everyday life. One must drink plenty of water as water flushes out toxins from the body thereby keeping the body fit and stable. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and salads should be included in the day-to-day diet. Intake of carbohydrate and fat-related food should be reduced while fiber foods increased to maintain a healthy balance in nutrition.

Fertility awareness: FAM or Fertility Awareness Method is a collection of practices that help a woman aware about the days of a month; she is likely to get pregnant. In that process, she understands the menstrual cycle of her body. FAM is a way of natural planning of the family. Cervical Mucus changes uniformity during the menstrual cycle and plays an important role in fertilization of egg. Again monitoring of Basal Body Temperature (BBT) helps a woman aware when ovulation has occurred.

Women’s health concern: Osteoporosis, breast cancer, cancer of cervix, bladder cancer, Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), hypertension, glaucoma is some of the common diseases of women. Screening tests act as the basic part of prevention medicine. Women should be aware and have complete information on various heath situation, diseases and wellness.
