Workout at Work

With the number of working hours increasing it seems almost impossible to make it to the gym or have a normal workout session. This is raising an alarm and working individuals across the globe have come up with different ways to work out while sitting at your desk.

Here are a few tips to help you get started. Once you begin you will get addicted to these workout routines and will start personalizing them to fit your own requirements.

Simple changes will help

One of the simplest and easiest ways to get some exercise into your routine is to skip the elevator and use the stairways instead. This is a good way for you to walk for a few minutes; it tones your legs and thighs and makes your buttocks firm. If you work between several floors then you have a lot to gain as you can use the stairs several times a day. This regime will also help you to loose some unwanted flab. However, I wouldn’t suggest walking all the way up to the floor if that is where you work. Try taking the elevator half way and then dash for the stairs for the rest of your way up or down.

Grab your trainers and head out for a jog during your lunch hour. Make the most of the long break by adding a tiny workout routine to your session. It is more fun if you could get a few of your office buddies to join you.

If you work at a cubicle then you don’t really need to take your coffee breaks to drink a cup of coffee. Instead of dehydrating yourself you could do a couple of sit ups or jumping jacks in the comfort of your own cubicle.

Sit at the edge of your chair and run or march in place. This activity is great to help you to tone your legs and get rid of excess flab from your legs. In my opinion this is the best workout when you are at work; however don’t try doing it while you are in a meeting or when you are talking over the phone.

Flax your feet every hour to loosen any ham strings. Butt clenches and abdomen clenches can be done during the entire day without anyone noticing what you are doing.

The last and most important thing to do is to maintain your posture during the day. This is the best way to keep yourself fit and lean.
