Diarrhea is a disease caused mainly due to virus. Infants and children are more prone to diarrhea. It is obvious that more than 30 % of children are treated in the hospital for diarrhea and dehydration problems caused due to diarrhea.

Make sure that your children have a good quantity of fluid in their body. Allow them to drink plenty of water and some fruit juices in order to avoid dehydration caused due to diarrhea. Avoid giving milk to infants.

Your pediatrician may recommend a blanded diet that comprises of rice,banana and baked chicken. It is always advisable to consult a doctor immediately if your child is below 6 months.if diarrhea is accompanied by fever vomiting and blood in the loose stool.
It is always said that prevention is better than cure so always take necessary steps to prevent diarrhea in children. Children always have their hands in dirty palaces and they also suck the thumbs,it is always advisable to cleanse their hands thoroughly before eating.
Make it a habit to use a handwash for your children. Children should always eat a lot of fruits. Make sure that the chicken and the meats are fully cooked before consumption. it is always recommended that you take your children to the hospital and consult a doctor immediately.
