Parvo Infection also known as human parvovirus B19. It is a very contagious viral disease affecting people of all ages, especially children. The most common symptom of parvo infection is rashes, which is very similar in appearance to other childhood disease. Thus, it is also known by the name of  fifth disease. The rash is bright red in colour and usually appears on both the cheeks. Later the rash also spreads over to cover other body parts like arms, thighs, middle body and buttocks. The rash is aggravated if the child is exposed to sunlight. The rash usually signals the ending of the infection and lasts for two to three weeks. This rash is usually a little bit itchy but adds to the total discomfort of the person infected with the parvo virus.Adults infected by parvo virus infection do not exhibit rashes of the face or body as a symptom.

Joint pain is a common and only symptom which is experienced by adults suffering from parvo infection. The soreness is intense in the joints of the body like the wrists, hands, ankles and knees.
