4 Steps Skin Care Regimen For A Glowing Skin
Flawless and healthy skin cannot be obtained overnight, but definitely can be achieved with good care and a proper skin care routine. If a glowing and healthy skin is on top of the most desirable things in your life than you really need to work towards it.
Skin care is basically all about following four simple steps of cleansing, toning, moisturizing and a few more things. If you follow these basic skin care tips along with a healthy diet, then the glow and the shine on your face can never go unnoticed.
Step 1: Cleansing Your Skin:
The first and the foremost rule of skin care lies in keeping your skin clean with a good cleanser or a mild soap. You need to know your skin type before you decide on the cleanser for yourself. If you have an oily skin you need to go for a clear soap with less oil in it.
And if your skin type is dry you can afford to use a cream based cleansing soap. When you are able find the right soap, the basic rule is to clean the skin thoroughly at least two times a day with the cleanser.
Do not wash too often. Use water to splash and rinse off the soap and pat dry. Night time cleansing is more important than any other time. Cleaning removes the dirt, grime and excessive oil from the skin making it clear and transparent.
Step 2: Exfoliating/Scrubbing/Toning Of Skin:
Exfoliation or in simple language, removing dead cells from the skin is one of the most important step of skin care regimen which most of us tend to ignore and skip. Exfoliation can be easily done at home by using a good scrubbing agent. You can use a gentle scrub once a week to exfoliate your skin.
Scrubbing works wonders for the skin and takes out the dead cell layer on top which may make the skin look dull and listless. Exfoliation also improves the complexion and gives a natural glow to it.
Another way for exfoliation is using a chemical peel for the skin. Lots of peeling creams and packs are available in the market today depending on your skin type.
After scrubbing using a toner can make your skin look fresh and glowing.A toner can be something as simple as rose water or any other skin tonic available in the market. Always go for a herbal toner instead of a chemical one.
Step 3: Moisturizing Your Skin:
The third but the most important step undoubtedly is the moisturizing of the skin.It is the most important requirement of the skin to keep it supple and hydrated. Choose a moisturizer according to your skin type and use it sparingly on the skin every day. Avoid using too much in the night as it may restrict your skin to breathe and may clog the skin pores
Step 4 Use A Sunscreen Daily:
As much as people around you will fail to believe but a sunscreen or a sun block cream is as important for your skin as the oxygen for life. Sunscreens protect the skin from UV rays, preventing them from untimely ageing and wrinkles and fine lines too. You can also use a moisturizer with a sunscreen but make sure you do not forget to use it before stepping out of home.
