Acne occurs when the pores of your skin get clogged with excess sebum, bacteria, dirt and dead skin cells with the increased hormonal changes that take place within your body.

A mixture of honey and cinnamon would also help in treating acne spot as honey is a fabulous moisturizer. Cucumber kills infection and can therefore help in reducing the size and redness of the pimples. Herbs like tea tree oil and licorice root can reduce the size of new acnes effectively.
Even a simple ingredient like toothpaste can help in effective treatment of pimples. If applied overnight, they help in decreasing the size and the redness of the pimple. Exfoliating your skin on a weekly basis, application of lotions/creams which contain Salicylic or glycolic acid will help in removing the P.acne bacteria and unclogging the pores. Hydrating your face with an oil free moisturizer is a must as all treatments tend to dry the skin.
Also maintaining a proper diet – including a lot of fruits and vegetables in your diet- would help in treating pimples. Stress too is an important factor which needs to be taken care of. Proper sleep of at least 6 to 7 hours is must. All the above with regular exercise help in giving you a natural glow and a clear skin.
