Burning Belly Fat With Veggies

Belly fat is a stubborn fat and hence difficult to shed away. There are various reasons which are responsible for accumulating excess belly fat .

  • Pregnancy
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Continuous exposure to estrogenic chemicals, which leads to hormonal imbalance
  • Natural hormonal imbalance etc

However, by proper planning and including certain fat burning veggies in our diet, we can easily shed away those extra fats from our belly. This is because, these green veggies are high in fiber, low in calories and fat .So, due to presence of high fiber content, the body requires more calories to digest them than the amount of calories present in them (negative calorie effect).

While some veggies stimulate by increasing the metabolic rate accordingly during the process of digestion (thermogenic effect).Thus, by eating belly burning veggies in right way, we can reduce the belly fat.

Among the cruciferous vegetables, green vegetables like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower are considered to be fat burning. These vegetables are high in fiber and low in calorie and thus help in weight loss program.

Similarly, gourd family vegetables like cucumber and squash also help in weight reducing program.

Green leafy vegetables like kale, lettuce and spinach are high in fiber and low in fat and calories .So, this gives the feeling of fullness for longer period and thus help in fat reduction.

Veggies like eggplant, tomatoes help to burn fat because of negative calorie effect while peppers help to burn fat because of thermogenic effect.

Root vegetables like beet roots, celery, carrots, and turnips have high fiber content and low calorie and thus its thermogenic effects, helps to reduce belly fat. Beside this, these veggies have high water content and so this helps in eliminating out the body fat. In addition to the above mentioned properties, onions and radishes have additional benefit of thermogenic effect.

Other veggies which help in burning belly fat are asparagus, artichokes, okra, mushrooms, zucchini, pumpkin and garlic.

Thus, by adding these green veggies in our diet and eating them regularly in correct proportion, we can boost our metabolic rate and help in burning belly fat.
