Dark spots on the face are a very common problem faced by a lot of people around the world. However, the good news is that there is not always a need for you to go to a dermatologist or a skin clinic and spend a lot of your precious money on complicated and possibly dangerous treatments and surgeries.

It could be you pricking or touching your pimples very often, which could have resulted in the acne scars turning permanently into dark spots. Then there is also a chance that you are not consuming a healthy diet, or your face and body is constantly exposed to heat, dirt and pollution. Stress and ageing too can cause dark spots.


So make sure that you are consuming a lot of water daily; at least 10-12 glasses. At the same time, follow a healthy and balanced diet which is rich in fresh fruits and vegetables and does not have tinned or canned foods, which have a lot of preservatives in them. Also, when stepping out of the house, make sure that you always have a good sunscreen lotion applied on your face and body to reduce the effect of the harmful UV rays.At home, you can easily prepare a mix of honey and lemon juice and apply it on your face for 15 minutes, at least 3 days in a week. Lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C, and it helps in bleaching. With regular use, you will start to notice visible differences, and your dark spots will start lightening up.

You can also apply buttermilk and honey on your face. Milk helps in lightening the dark spots and freckles, and also helps to have a smoother and clearer complexion.Avoid unhealthy habits such as alcohol consumption, too many late nights, lack of sleep as well as erratic work and party schedules. All these cause stress, which eventually starts showing up on your face.
