Negative Calorie Foods

Millions of people across the globe are obese and overweight. Obese people can lose weight by consuming negative calorie foods. But some people misunderstand negative calorie foods. They think that such foods provide them negative calorie, but this is not true. There is no food which contains negative calories. But since some foods cause negative effect on your body, such foods are called negative calorie foods.

When you eat negative calorie foods they cause your body system to burn more calories for their digestion in comparison to providing you calories. A negative calorie food requires more calories for its digestion than providing it. Thus, your body loses calories even after consuming such foods.

Few people hardly eat anything with the intention of losing weight fast. But they are wrong. If you don’t eat anything there will be vitamin and minerals deficiency in your body, which can cause several diseases. But by eating negative calorie foods you don’t gain weight, and also get essential nutrients for your system. In this way, you lose weight but don’t become weak and ill.

Some people also call negative calorie diet as zero calorie diet. Such diet is very effective for weight loss. Given below are some foods that are referred to as negative calorie foods.

Papaya: Apart from using more calories than giving you, it prevents you from many diseases. This is because it is highly rich in antioxidants. It is also an excellent source of Vitamin A and potassium. It is good for digestion and lowers cholesterol due to which heart attack is prevented.

Pineapple: It burns calories more than providing. It contains very low fat and cholesterol and is also highly rich in Vitamin C, fiber, potassium etc. It is beneficial in painful menstruation, oral health, sore throat etc.

Among fruits, grapefruit, watermelon, apple, blueberry, mango, cantaloupe, raspberries etc are also known as negative calorie fruits. And among the vegetables, green cabbage, celery, asparagus, carrot, cucumber, green beans, radishes, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach etc are known as negative calorie foods. Some spices such as garlic, onion, chili peppers etc are also very effective negative calories foods.

Apart from consuming negative calorie foods for weight loss, you should drink plenty of water and exercise regularly for 45 to 60 minutes regularly.
