Impetigo is a contagious bacterial infection on the skin that causes blisters and rashes mainly on face, skin, neck and upper thighs around genitals. Impetigo is classified as bullous and non-bullous. In bullous kind, the blisters are filled with fluid and are prone to rupture. It is also more contagious than non-bullous impetigo. This skin condition is mostly found in toddlers. The first thing to do is that keep other children away from the child who is suffering from this condition as it is contagious and separate all personal items like towels, clothes, brush etc..

The bacteria enters the body when there are openings on the skin due to injuries, cuts, chicken pox etc. and thrives if the immunity is weak. Though you must get the victim of this infection checked by the doctor, some herbal remedies can also be administered simultaneously.
