Vitamins for Hair loss

Generally hair loss is not due to any disease but in most of the cases hair loss occurs due to lack of nutrition. People generally ignore the value of taking proper balanced diet which they should take for proper development of body and hairs. Proper diet includes all the nutrients like vitamins, minerals, protein, carbohydrates and fats in right balance.

Vitamins are the very important part of proper diet which is essential to prevent hair loss. But while talking about vitamins, downside is that taking excessive vitamins also cause hair loss. Let us discuss about various vitamins needed for health of hairs. Before starting any vitamin program, you should consult your doctor for proper dosage you should take. Though rather than taking any supplements, you can include foods which carry these vitamins.

Vitamin A helps to produce healthy sebum in the scalp and you can get from many food sources like milk, cheese, spinach, carrot, cabbage, apricots, eggs meat, fish oils and many others. Vitamin C is an antioxidant which keeps hair healthy by protecting them from free radicals. You can obtain it from citrus fruits, tomatoes, potatoes and dark green leafy vegetables. Vitamin E enhances the blood circulation in the scalp. But excessive intake of vitamin E is also not recommended; check with your doctor before starting any vitamin E supplement. You can get it from nuts, wheat germ oil, soybean and dark green leafy vegetables.

Biotin: Biotin is very essential for making keratin and prevent graying of hairs and hair loss, You can get it from many sources like, rice, milk, whole grains, egg yolk and our body also produces it.

Vitamin B5 prevents from hair loss and graying of hairs and can be obtained from whole grain cereals, egg yolks and others.

Vitamin B6 is very vital for creating and maintains melanin, the hair pigment. It is important for preventing graying of hairs and hair loss. There are many sources to get it which include vegetables, brewer’s yeast, egg yolk and whole grain cereals. Vitamin B12 also prevents hair loss and is found in milk, fish, chicken and eggs.
