Foot fungus is also known as athlete’s foot. This infection is a common form of dermatitis which affects the webs of the toes and soles of the feet. The skin becomes red, itchy and scaly. Tiny blisters filled with fluid erupt on the skin in between the toes and the oozing blisters cause a lot of pain and burning. The skin can even crack and peel and emit a foul odor at times. The infection, if not treated can even spread to the groin, hands and other parts of the body.
The fungus thrives in a moist and warm environment and many people develop this infection at some time during their lives.
