Skin needs be moisturized topically to replace its lost water content and protect it from getting dry. A moisturizer helps to retain the natural water content of skin by acting as a barrier to for harmful atmospheric factors which lead to moisture loss of skin. Moisturizer makes the skin soft and supple and prevents skin from getting premature wrinkles. You can readily purchase a readymade moisturizer from market but if you try some simple homemade moisturizer recipes; it will do wonders for your skin. Homemade moisturizers are chemical free and fresh. They nourish your skin with its healthy contents.
For this, you will need one tbsp olive oil, one tbsp coconut oil, one tbsp vegetable oil, 2 drops of vitamin E oil and 2 tbsp of mashed strawberries. Mix all the contents and shake well. Store in jar and keep it in refrigerator.
Take juice of ½ lemon, 1and ½ tsp honey and 3 tbsp yogurt and one egg white (whipped) Mix all the ingredients and beat them well. Apply this mixture on your face and after 15 minutes wash it with lukewarm water.
Mash and beat ½ banana and add to it 1 tbsp honey and 2 tbsp sour cream. Blend all the ingredients and apply on your face for ten minutes and then wash with lukewarm water.
Take one small apple and grate it. Add to it 5 tbsp of honey and mix both of them to make a smooth paste. Apply this over your face and wash it off with cold water after 10 minutes.
You can apply fresh fruits juices and pulps on your skin to give it natural moisturizing. Fresh fruit juice hydrates the skin.
Take one tbsp of olive oil, one tbsp of lemon juice and white of one egg. Beat them all to make a creamy, frothy mixture. Apply it over your face and neck and wash with lukewarm water after 15 minutes.
You can prepare a moisturizer by soaking dried apricots in water till soft and blend them in a mixer with 2 tbsp of skimmed milk powder. Apply this over your face for 15 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
Honey is natural humectants and moisturizer for all type of skin. It can be applied over sensitive skin also as it does not irritate the skin.
To prepare this cream, take 3 tbsp of wheat germ oil, 3 tbsp of honey, 1 oz. Witch hazel, 1 oz. Glycerin and ½ oz. Rose water. Mix and blend all these ingredients till it becomes a cream. Store this in a jar.
Take equal quantity of aloe Vera juice and mineral water. Heat both ingredients in a boiler to form a cream consistency. Cool and store in a jar.
Take one cup of milk and yolk of one egg. Beat egg and milk to form a frothy and creamy consistency. Keep in a bottle and store in refrigerator.
Take drops of sweet almond oil and 3 drops of distilled water. Mix both these ingredients on your palm and rub your hands. Apply this emulsion on your face regularly to keep it moist.
To prepare this amazing cream, you need ¼ cup rose petals, 1 tbsp rose hips, ½ cup of hot water, 1 tbsp cocoa butter, ½ cup almond oil, few drops of rose essential oil, 1 tbsp of beeswax and I tbsp of liquid vitamin E.
Pour rose hip and rose-petals in a bowl and cover it with hot water. Keep it for 12 hours. Take a double boiler and heat cocoa butter and bees wax to melt them. Add to it, almond oil and keep stirring g and remove it from heat and cool it. Now after it gets cool, add vitamin E liquid, Rose essential oil and blend it. Store in a jar and keep in refrigerator.
Mix 2 tbsp of honey and 2 tsp of milk and beat them to make smooth paste. Apply it on face and neck. Leave it for 20 minutes and after it gets dry rinse it off with lukewarm water.

well i used avocado, which i dont think is even on here and it makes skin really soft, but im not so sure about moisturizing. i have only done it once so far, but its on my face now and it feels great! looks gross though!
