However majority of the women suffer from nausea and vomiting. They may also develop an aversion to certain foods and smells due to hormonal changes. Although it can affect you any time of the day, the nausea and vomiting are worse in the morning when the blood sugar levels are low.
- Missed periods are one of the most common early signs of pregnancy. If you have regular periods and have missed one this month then it may be a sign that you are pregnant. However it is important to keep in mind that certain other factors like stress, anxiety, illness or hormonal imbalance might result in your missing your periods.
- Some women may have slight bleeding or spotting, eight to ten days after they have conceived. This is known as implantation bleeding and is a sign of pregnancy. As the egg attaches itself to the endometrial lining, a brownish or pinkish discharge may be seen. Since the implantation spotting occurs at approximately the same time as your next periods some women might get confused.

In addition to this women may suffer from lower abdominal cramps, an increase in the body temperature, constipation, and lower back pain or feel the need to frequently urinate when they are pregnant.
- If you have conceived then your breasts will feel slightly tender and enlarged. You may observe heaviness in the breasts along with the darkening of the nipples. This is similar to how you may feel during your menstrual cycles.
- Take a home pregnancy test to confirm your pregnancy suspicions. These tests are available at major grocery and health stores and check the hCG levels in the urine to find out whether you are pregnant or not. You can take these tests the day your regular menstrual cycle is due. Follow the instructions provided on the box. If you see a blue line in the test window then it is time to rejoice and prepare for your bundle of joy to arrive.
