The eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, is a common and very serious condition. It is characterized by limiting your food intake and over-exercising. It can lead to starvation and abusing diet pills. With the eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, you will also have mental and psychological symptoms. Depression, anxiety, lowered self-esteem and lack of confidence are all common symptoms. They are also all common problems. With these symptoms, the person that suffers will feel like they are never good enough. No matter how thin they become, it will not be thin enough. Their self image will be perceived differently then what others see. Getting psychological treatment is the best thing for anyone that suffers from anorexia nervosa.

The eating disorder anorexia nervosa can lead to many different health problems. Starvation will cause malnutrition and the body will begin to shut down. An anorexic person may develop problems with their bones and organs. In severe cases, the malnutrition will lead to serious health conditions or even death. This is why it is important to treat the disorder at the first sign.
