Dark circles under eyes seem to get worse as days go on. No one knows just why this happens but basic cause of dark circles are hereditary or some illnesses. They can be observed under eyes in bluish color.
It has been found that people having deep set bone structure tend to have dark circles easily as they have very thin skin under eyes i.e. periorbital skin.
According to dermatologists and plastic surgeons dark circles are caused by capillaries that leak blood close to the skin’s surface. When this blood begins to oxidize it turns a bluish red color, similar to ugly bruise and since the skin under eye is very thin, this leads to the appearance of those embarrassing dark circles.
There are many ways to get rid of under eye dark circles naturally that includes concealers, eye cream, eye serum, exercise, yoga and some simple home remedies.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day as it flushes toxins out of body but drink more in day time and less in night time.Wash your face and eyes thrice daily with cold water but do not use soap or cleanser, to keep it fresh.
Grate the cucumber; strain the juice from it and keep it in refrigerator now mix it with equal amount of lemon juice. Apply this lemon juice with help of cotton ball under eyes; let it dry for some time and wash it off after 10-15 minutes.Keep cucumber slices on closed eyelids for 10-15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.

Apply almond oil under eyes and massage it in circular movement slowly for 5 minutes; no need to wash it off..Eat 2/3 almonds daily early morning with milk, it makes skin healthy and helps to relieve dark circles under eyes.
Make a paste of 2/3 almonds and apply it on dark circles but wash it off in 10 minutes, it should not be applied for longer period. Mix almond oil with equal amount of honey and apply it under eyes at night.
Keep Potato slices on closed eyelids and wash the eyes after 10-15 minutes with cold water.
Keep wet tea bags on eyes and take it away after 10 minutes then wash the eyes with cold water.
Mix Pineapple juice and turmeric powder together in similar quantity and apply this paste under eyes for 10 minutes.
Crush the mint leaves to prepare soft paste then apply this paste under eyes to give soothing and cooling effects. Wash this off after 15 minutes.
Apply raw lemon juice under eyes twice daily.
Take enough sleep i.e. 8 hours sleep in day to avoid dark circles.
Stress,Tension and restlessness may also cause dark circles; change in daily diet, exercise and yoga will help to maintain healthy lifestyle.
Protect your eyes from direct exposure of sunlight, use sunglasses to avoid dark circles.
Above remedies will help to reduce dark circles but does not cure them completely. Do not rub or stretch the under eye skin to get rid of dark circles under eyes during treatment as this area is very delicate and sensitive.
