Diet to Improve your Skin Texture

Diet to improve your Skin Texture:

A healthy body contains a healthy skin. No matter, how strict is your skin care routine or how much expensive skin cream you use, the most essential factor which keeps the skin beautiful is having healthy and nutritious diet. All those creams can soften and make the skin surface only but you need support from inside. You can not substitute the right nutrition for healthy skin with any cream or lotion. No skin care routine can give you positive results without healthy diet.

There are many elements which contribute in achieving right nutrition. A well balanced nutrition means having all the vitamins and minerals essential for a healthy and glowing skin.

Drinking Plenty of Water:

It is very important to drink lots of water daily to keep the system going. Drinking water is essential part of healthy skin diet. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Water helps to flush out the toxins out of body and keeps skin cells hydrated. Water provides radiance and softness to the skin. It helps to delay in formation of wrinkle and also prevents formation of blackheads and blemishes.

Vitamins which are good for the Skin:

You can bring a sure improvement to texture of your skin by including vitamins C, E, K and B in your diet.

Vitamin C and E:

It is found in researches that if you apply vitamin C topically, it reduces the effects of sun exposure on your skin. Taking supplements of 400 gm vitamin E daily can help reduce wrinkles, photo damage to skin and improves the skin texture.

Another important function of vitamins C and E is to reduce the harmful effects of free radicals formed by sunrays, pollutions and smoke. These free radicals damage the collagen and elastin; these are the fibers which hold the skin structure. Damage of collagen and elastin produce wrinkles and premature aging signs on the skin. Vitamins C and E contain antioxidants.

To have vitamin C in your routine diet, eat lots of citrus fruits and vitamin C rich vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, bell pepper and green leafy ones. You can get vitamin C by taking its supplements.

You can get vitamin E from nuts, seeds, vegetable oils, spinach, olives and asparagus. Sometimes it becomes difficult to get vitamin E from foods so it is better to take Vitamin E supplements. But do not over gorge the vitamin supplements; it is harmful for the body.
