Frequent urination can interfere with your normal daily routine, causing you to stay home more than you normally would. It can interrupt sleep, making you more tired than usual. There are several causes of frequent urination:
Increase in fluid intake, diuretics (water pills, for example, furosemide) diabetes, urinary tract infection, urinary retention (when the bladder does not fully empty all urine), benign prostatic hypertrophy (an enlargement of the prostate gland that makes it difficult for the bladder to empty) cystitis (an inflammation or irritation of the bladder that can be caused by radiation therapy to the pelvic area) chemotherapy instilled into the bladder to treat bladder cancer or certain chemotherapy drugs given through a vein.
Illness that causes frequent urination can be physical or psychosomatic. Excessive urination, on the other hand in some cases is the inevitable result of excessive production of urine, while in other cases the total volume produced is not high - the person simply urinates frequently but in small amount.
Properties: If you or any of your children are plagued by urinary tract infection, squeeze a glass of cranberry juice and have it with your morning meal. Drinking cranberry juice is a proven doctor-approved home remedy for warding off infection of the kidneys and bladder. Although it was once believed that drinking cranberry juice helped kill invading bacteria by acidifying the urine, scientists have recently found that substances called condensed tannins in the juice are responsible for its medicinal properties. These agents are capable of preventing infection-causing bacteria from attaching to cells in the kidneys and bladder by stunting the growth of hair-like filaments on their surfaces. Without these Velcro like appendages, bacteria are not able to attach themselves to the cells lining the urinary tract and they are more likely to be flushed out of the body through urination.
Properties: Modern healers make restricted use of sweet basil, preferring holy basil as a medicinal herb, and little research has been done on the herb's chemical constituents. It exerts a mildly stimulating influence on all the glands and has antiseptic and cleansing properties. A tea of the leaves, flowers or flowering tops has a refreshing effect on the entire system. This tea can be taken by nursing mothers to help increase the milk flow, by the feverish to provoke perspiration, and by those suffering from frequent urination or in colds where it helps to clear the chest, throat and lungs of mucus. It can help to relieve nausea, prevent travel sickness, lessen the pressures of flatulence, increase the appetite, discourage worms and generally cleanse and tone the digestive system. Basil leaves infused in white wine can be administrated as a mildly laxative digestive tonic.
Properties: Probiotics are supplements that contain live bacteria. They colonize the gut and promote healthy normal flora. To benefit from their use, they must be ingested on a regular basis. Yogurt containing lactobacillus acidophilus taken orally or intra vaginally has been found to be effective against vulvo vaginal candidiasis. One study found daily ingestions of eight portions of yogurt containing lactobacillus acidophilus decreases both colonization and infection of candida. Another study showed that daily ingestion of 150ml yogurt containing L. acidophilus is an effective prophylaxis for recurrent vulvo vaginal candidiasis as compared with pasteurized yogurt.
Properties: Drinking water half an hour before meals seems to be the best recommendation. This avoids any negative effects because the body then has to use water from other parts of the body for the production of digestive fluids. A glass of water one hour before breakfast is a good remedy to keep the doctor away. The main purpose of drinking water is to flush out waste material, lower fever and flush the body at the first sign of an illness, to regenerate and purify cells and it helps with constipation, aids in diabetes by flushing out un oxidized sugar, to stimulate action of the kidneys and the liver, increase the flow of blood through the lungs for better absorption of oxygen.
Sleep with a hot water bottle. The temperature should be as hot as is comfortable. Place the bottle on the lower abdomen just below the belly-button. It will help to decrease frequent urination at night.
Take a warm bath for 20 minutes before bed time. Meanwhile, use a warm towel to massage the area between the testicles and anus.
Exercise regularly. Jogging and practicing yoga are good for recovering from urinary illness. This kind of exercise can act as an internal massage to the prostate.
Place a container under a water tap. Open the tap slightly and let water drip into the container. Record the sound of the drop and play the tape when you want to urinate.
Hang a picture or painting with a waterfall flowing down from a mountain on the wall behind the toilet.
For frequent urination at night, use your palms to gently tap both sides of the back at the level of the waist 150 to 200 times rhythmically.

High dietary fiber foods should be added gradually to prevent possible short term side effects including abdominal discomfort, bloating, cramping or diarrhea.
A vegetarian diet should be accompanied by a liberal intake of water or other fluids. Inadequate fluid can lead to constipation or impaction in the colon because dietary fiber absorbs water from the intestinal tract.

Drinking fruit juices, as we mentioned before, is a good idea. At the same time try to avoid commercial juices - they usually have nutrients processed out of them and sugar added into them.
Eat more vegetable and fruits. Eat zinc rich food such as sesame seeds, watermelon, pumpkin seeds, oyster, fish apples and apricots.
