Blackheads are follicles that have wider opening than the normal. They are also known as open comedones and are often caused by over active sebaceous glands. Blackheads appear on the face, back, chest and other parts that have sebaceous glands. The blackheads are plugged with sebum and sloughed off cells and undergoes a chemical reaction that results in the oxidation of melanin. The residue formed in the follicle is responsible for providing black colour to the blackheads.

p.s: - BRILLIANT SITE!
Some people complained that they got many pimples after they used one of the remedies. Thats supposed to happen. If you keep using the method it will clean your face completely ;-)
Monday= morning, I wash it with clean and clear foaming astringent, and warm water. Then sometime later during the day I apply an egg white mask for a half hour and wash it off with warm water. At night, I go with the Clearsil Ultra (which gives you clear skin in 3 MONTHS..not days), then Clearasil foaming pads, St. Ives astringent, then Clean and Clear stuff again, which I recomend, it [@] the oil right out of your face.
Tuesday= Morning is Clean and Clear foaming astringent, then I repeat monday nights regimen for tuesday night
Wenesday=monday
thursday=tuesday
friday=tuesday
on weekends I repeat trhe tuesday's. And if need I use banana then aply band aid after banana mask has dried. 10 minutes later bye bye blackheads. Toothpaste for pimples also works after a couple days (no gel paste)
drink lots of water...
avoid constipation problems.. add green vegatables and fruits to the daily food. Apply cucmber, papaya and banana paste and leave it for 10 minutes, and wash your face.. It works.
#58: yes the toothpaste can dry out the pimple but you have to be VERY careful because it can also dry/burn the skin.. (i have a scar from trying this and doing it wrong once)... if you use toothpaste use only a light amount and don't apply it for long. wash it off in like a few min...
One thing is for certain, scraping your face with credit cards will remove the blackheads, however you will have bruises and scratches all over your face and your face will be puffy for about 24 hours.
So... be careful who you get your ideas from.
Try putting warm water on the area before you do it and then dry. That will open the pores better.
so your diet is your key to beautiful, acne and black head free (also dark circles under eyes free) skin.
1) eat a lot of almond - great for prevention and cure for acne, blackheads, your brain cells and your hair! plus it DOES NOT BURN YOUR SKIN :)
2) drink lots of water, this keeps your skin tight, smooth and wrinkle free, along with acne free.
3) cucumbers, works great ontop of your skin, and when you eat them.
4) egg whites, but not too oily if fried.
if you eat these and natural things daily, your acne and black heads will go away faster than all the trouble of experiments on your skin.
P.S. Will putting banana on your face helps??! Also plzz help me!
USE steam every alternate day and clean your face with The Body Shop's Aloe Calming Toner (ACT)every night with cotton pads, before going to bed.
If you want a glowing skin, put honey on your face for 20 mins after cleaning your skin with ACT. Wash with warm water and then rub skin gently with an ice cube to close the pores.
You will see amazing results very quickly...:-D
Also The Best Clenser & Toner You Can You Can Buy.. In The Long Run It'll Be Worth It
But It's Brilliant Helped Me Through My Teens Without Spots/Blackheads.
You've all heard it before; You are what you eat.
- It's a fact!
Fresh fruit and vegetables cleanses your body, therefore also your skin. Putting on all those 'miracle' products that the beauty/ medical industry produce is not helping you, neither your skin. It is slowly destroying you - inside and out.
They often contain mineral oil, which suffocates your skin, not allowing it to breath. Pore blocking=more blackheads, and unpurities.
If you wonder why your creams isnt working, or why your skin isn't improving, there is a big chance it's because of those skincare products you use. They can be dangerous, and contain lots of chemicals.
Point: Put natural products on your skin.
Also: Drink lots of water! (8 gl[@]es or more) - like fruits and vegetables, it really cleanses your body. Once in a while, add some freshly cut lemon drops !
Get used to drinking Green Tea on a daily basis. It contains lots of antioxydants and vitamins.
It's superhealthy, and you will actually get much clearer and better skin from drinking it. (try to add some lemon here too)
---------
I haven't tried so many home remedies, but those I've tried work so much better then any other I've ever tried.
Home remedies :
Nightly lemon care ----
1) Cut a lemon in half, and put some juice on damp skin. You decide the amount that fits for you. (not too much though as it will make your skin sticky)
2) Go to sleep! Wash off in the morning ~
This really brightens your skin + removes scars and discolorations. Naturally your blackheads will fade away
Note: Yes, it will sting a lot at first (this is because your skin isn't used to it yet), but trust me it will go away! This really helps on my pimples and blackheads.
- doing this reguraly = no pain
Green tea daily toner ------
1) For this you will need green tea. Any green tea will do, but organic is great. Make some green tea and put in the fridge or let it cool.
2) After cleaning your face with a natural face cleanser, apply the green tea all over your face, with a cotton pad. Do not cleanse this one out :-)
3) Put on your moisturizer.
This will reduce rednesses and even out your skin tone.
It will also reduce blackheads and pimples and over time you will be clear.
- I do this everyday, love it
Fresh lemon toner
1) With a cotton pad, dab on to your face using light pressure with your fingers. Applying to problem areas first, then the rest.
2) Wait 2 minutes - brush your teeth, eat a banana or whatever you like
3) Wash off and moisturize!
Now you are feeling clean and fresh, and the improving of your skin is starting ~
And one last thing:
> Using extra [@] olive oil as a moisturizer
Olive moisture
1) After cleansing and toning your skin, apply a small amount extra [@] olive oil all over your face. You wanna apply it lightly so it can sink in on itself.
- Don't apply too much, but not too little either!
This is great for night time. Your skin will have a healthy glow the next morning ~
Olive oil is very good for your skin !
- Using oils, like extra [@] olive oil and such, will not make your skin more oily. It may seem that way at first but if so, it's only temporarly.
Once it has sunken in to your skin, it will not look or feel oily. Then you have applied too much!
Remember, oils like olive and coconut is good because of the right type of fat.
The key is to not put on too much of anything. Don't rub too hard on your skin, and be gentle!
General rule:
Don't put anything on your skin that you wouldn't eat.
Hope this helped
:-)
varun mudra is very essential join thumb and little finger. This will help your skin to glow. do it for min 15 mins three times in a day.
a combination of all the above will give a cheap and effective result.

Works in 2 weeks!!!... I told 4 people I know about it and it all worked in the same time frames.
LOVEEE.
Blackheads.. not sure about.. it didn't get rid of my blackheads. But it definitely works on Acne!!!
DRINKING half a cucumeber blended in like on fourth cup of water daily cleared up someones face so that is what I am now working with.
Eating red and orange fruits and vegetables also help a lot.
DAIRY products have something that is prone to increasing acne problems so maybe you can watch out for them. I love cheese and I am not willing to give it up because of acne.
ITS IMPORTANT to get rid off acne but its not worth giving up things you enjoy PLUS remember that ones worth is not based on appearance. I know I am a beautiful...girl, chick, whatever, I'm 21 so.... but, regardless of my skin I'm beautiful!! and so are you. Oh and you guys are all handsome as well.
Like, I read that you should use rock salt. Is this true?
does banana mask really helps?? i'll try it though, it's the most inexpensive and easisest to do.
My face is relatively clear right now but I have struggled with acne all my life. I have been on accutane 4 times and a plethora of other medications. I no longer believe in taking medication for acne because it never cures it and only messes with your body. Accutane did cure my backnee though, and I am greatful for life, but now I have IBS and a messed up liver....so I dont know.
Anyways, Im keeping my acne at bay now on my own and I would like to share some of my ideas with you.
First of all the acne on my face is hugely respondent to stress. The less I worry about all my pimples the less I seem to get (easier said than done).
I have looked at a lot of peoples strict regimes for washing their faces and I have to say that less is more folks. There are people putting 10 thousand products on their face and I honestly dont know why you are surprised that your face is caked in acne.
Our skin has a delicate ph balance and doesnt like to be shocked with 4 scrubbings a day and 12 different products all containing alcohol and many other [@]ortments of chemicals. Sorry, but that will never help you. You might think it keeps your acne down, but the truth is that you probably irritate your face and one thing in your list that you do is helping to take is down.
We all have to find something that works for us, and the best way to start is to find a cleanser you love and use it. Morning and night. Thats it. Neutrogena offers many great products for any kind of acne or situation you can think of. Its mild, but it still has acne fighting ingredients in it. Anyways, whatever it is you like to use, use it and dont use 5 other cleansers and 15 astringents and la la la.
Most of the time people use soo many products because they are impatient. You have to be patient with your face in its healing journey.
As far as black heads go, egg white and half a lemon squeezed into a bowl painted to a thin layer on the face reduced my blackheads within 5 minute (I wouldnt leave it on longer than that if you choose to include the lemon in it).
Also as far as natural remedies go, apple cider vinegar is one of the best things out there. It completely got rid of my perioral dermatitus that I suffer from occasionally.
Nothing in this world is going to work for everybody and my advice may not help you at all, but all I know is that when it comes to my skin and the skin of many of my friends who have never suffered from acne, is that LESS IS MORE. No one with a clear face uses 200 products so Im not sure why folks think that that is going to help.
Like I said, find something you love. Wash your face with it, moisturize always, and do some masks and treatments occasionally. If that doesnt work for you then Id say that you need to look into your eating habits, hormonal problems, and overall life style.
I worked in the food industry and have more pimples than Ive had in my life, and when I stopped I was fine. It was healthy food at a gym btw but there was cooking and ovens and a lot of stress involved.
So just think about what you are doing and how much stress is in your life, and try not to shock or dry your skin into being nice to you. Try to give it some love and maybe it will love you back.
Umm whats the method would someone please Elaborate it for me :)
Ive manyyyy blackheads on my nose and the areas around nose..eeee hate them :(
use a natural cleanser at least one with the least chemicals added to it and make a toner with 3:1 ratio of pure rosewater extract (not rose essence) : witch hazel and add couple of of drops of lavender oil to it, wipe ur face wit this toner after cleansing, this would help in calming your skin. make sure ur not allergic to lavender oil first.
Also once a week use a good clay mask after a hot bath or shower, if possible one with natural enzymes, as that would gently exfoliate your skin and prevent blackheads. after mask removal do mosturise.
Have a healty lifestyle, try to avoid refined sugar products, junk food, drink warm water with one tea spoon of raw honey first thing in the morning, have herbal teas instead of caffinated teas, have good quality milk, have pumpkins seeds (high in zinc and eseential fatty acids).
Oh yes like some else said change ur pillow case every week, that does help espicially if u have oily scalp, caz if u dont wash it often tat oil from ur pillow would be on ur face.
if u like wearing make up, use oil free non pore clogging foundation, and remove it properly before going to sleep.
thanks guys
I'll probly try the banana thong sometime too
And the comment about rubbing shit on my face is not necessary.
mix together brown sugar and water to make a really thick paste.
rub that onto your face and then leave it, once it starts to go hard and crumbly rinse it with luke warm water.
then use a facecloth under hot water (as hot as you can cope with on your face) and place it over the major areas where your blackheads are, leave it there til it cools and repeat about 4 times, or at least until you can see your pores open.
using dove soap and a rough cloth (or even sand/bead based face scrubs) scrub your face until it starts to go a little bit red.
repeat the hot cloth motion until all the soap (or face scrub) is gone
then rinse thoroughly with cold water, and i mean cold, this will close your pores completely.
hope this works for you, it has worked like a miracle in one sitting for me (=
I tried using this facial wash && it doesn't work! :-(
is one suppose to rub the peel of banana on the black heads
or the smashed banana?
and then wash using water only or facewash too?
1. Drink lots of water and eat lots of healthy foods. It helps clear your body of toxins, and it really helps you with your whole acne problem. the first step to getting rid of acne and all those other sorts of things is through your eating and clearing out the toxins out of your body. So, you can try drinking burdock root tea, green tea, red tea, or any other sort of tea that cleanes the body. Prevention is better than cure.
2. Exfoliation helps a lot since it gets rid of the dead skin cells and that allows for new growth. It's pretty much the same with toners, but if you double cleanse, you don't need a toner. Double cleansing is basically when you use two different cleansers. It's better to do that in the evening, but double cleansing does not mean that you skip cleansing your face in the morning. Papaya is the best known natural abrasive exfoliator. Be sure to use a ripe juicy papaya. use the inside of the skin to wipe your face. Let it stay on for about 15 mins, and then rinse it off with warm water. Do this for a prolonged period of time, and you will notice the difference. Papaya contains a special enzyme called papin that helps post acne marks fade over time.
* a good idea for a toner is witch hazel
3. Use oils. Another thing that you should do is use oils. they are very good for your skin especially if you have oily skin. If you apply oil on your skin, then it tricks your body into thinking that there is enough oil on your face and it reduces the amount of sebum produced.
btw. It is okay to use tea tree oil directly on your face, but you have to use it deirectly on the blemishes.
Alot of the things given here may not work but some combined with common sense work better than cosmetic products.
For example
People with dry skin tend to be allergic to alcohol which is a staple ingredient in most skin creams. So homemade moisturisers offer a nice alternative
goooood luck!
xx
any remidis for that that wont hurt mi dry skin
plese:-(
1)have a shower or steam your face
2)mix 1 parts milk to 1 part gelatin
3)microwave for 15 seconds
4)and apply where needed wait 15 mins
5)slowly peel off
6)and use a good moisturzer
Mix cinnamon & oil until it forms a paste.
Apply to affected area, let sit for 2 minutes
Scrub gently
Remove with a hot towel
Mix the juice of 1 lemon & 3 egg whites
apply to affected area
let sit for 5 minutes
wipe off with hot towel, or peel off
mash 1 banana
apply to face
let sit for 5 minutes
wipe off with a hot towel
mix 1 tablespoon knox geletin w/1 tablespoon milk
apply to affected area
let dry, pel off
I always end by rubbing an ice cube wrapped in a towel on face, to close the pores.
I only do the geletin every other day, the rest has been daily.
I also have rinsed/wiped off the excess cinnamon/oil mixture with a cotton ball dipped in apple cider vineger, after wiping it off with the towel.
I do not have blackheads/pimples...never have. He, on the other hand, has had them all his life.If you are doing this to yourself, it might be easier to rinse w/hot/warm water, rather than wiping with a towel.
And rinsing with cold water would work just as well as the ice cube.
Just thought I'd share :-D
It's cheap and natural. Use with a cotton pad/ball after cleansing. It helps shink pores and helps heal and calm the skin. It works by shrinking the blood vessles back to nomal size. It's normaly used for insect bits and briuses. It also helps with oil management. If you have oily skin!
You can buy it in any drug store.
i rubed some lemon juice on my face and then steamed it. there were certain parts of my face that BURNED! soo bad. but i quickly rinsed those parts and my face felt great after the steaming, including all the other parts with lemon.
One thing thats greatly reduced any problems ive had with my skin is steaming my face and immediately exfoliating after. I used a combination of honey, lemon and sugar and it makes my face feel great as well as clean and fresh! :) hope this helps!
when i did my beauticians course, we used the same method as Isabella (#16) the heat from the steaming helps to open the pores so the blackheads will come out easier, and the tissues also help to stop any marks on the skin from squeezing them too hard.
masks are the best way to remove blackheads because they have a great drawing effect on the skin. try steaming your face for 10 mins with a hot towel after you remove the mask then use the method that #16 has explained.
if you use a mask from the supermarket/your beautician make sure you know if there is supposed to be a tingling feeling or not. if you feel any tingling take it off straight away to avoid getting a reaction
will make your skin clean
Ingredients:
2 large eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons HCl
3 tablespoons kosher salt
Procedure:
1) Bring all ingredients to room temperature.
2) Place the salt and the yolks of the eggs in a large bowl, discarding the whites. Beat them until they just begin to look stiff. You may also use a food processor.
3) Start to drizzle the oil into the bowl or food processor. Do this slowly, or else it won't emulsify. Continue beating or processing the mixture until most or all of the oil is incorporated.
4) Very carefully, add and mix in the lemon juice and HCl. Be sure to avoid splashes, as contact with those ingredients may cause skin irritation.
5) Apply mixture to the affected area. There may be a burning sensation, but that's normal. Wait 10 minutes, and then wash off with lukewarm water. Wear gloves during application and removal, and use caution when disposing of the used mixture.
Of course, there is some risk of adverse reactions, as with all medical treatments. Consult your doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist, or chemist before attempting this treatment. Always wear gloves when handling hazardous materials. I bear no responsibility for any harm that may come to someone who uses this advice.
wash yr face wit hot water, and apply a littel bit of your body lotion. It really works for me. Aso try drinking so much water so as to make ur body smooth and refreshing (especially your face).
I once got a scar from using toothpaste the wrong way, and I way to clear it is to take egg whites and dab some cotton in it. Scrub it onto the scar for a bit, and you'll see the scar stuff coming off. Then just use a good moisturizer. It worked perfectly for me, and I totally got rid of the scar.
;-);-)
Pour some hand hot water in a cup, add porridge oats, a tsp of honey (any kind), a small amount of milk, and baking soda. Leave it on as long as you feel necesarry but I advise no longer then ten minutes is necessary, three-five minutes in the least. Then either was it off or scrub it away gentily with an old toothbrush and lukewarm water! Thanks, YouknowIt
