NATURAL HOME REMEDIES FOR SKIN ALLERGIES

An allergy refers to the sensitiveness of the body to a substance that normally doesn’t affect other persons. The skin disorders caused due to the excess use of cosmetics are called skin allergies. The skin reacts to contact with a substance known as allergen, becomes red and itchy.

Types of skin allergies

Contact dermatitis
A substance coming into contact with the skin can cause allergy. It refers to the skin inflammation.

Urticaria
It is a temporary swelling of the skin caused by collection of fluid in the skin. It is also known as hives.

Prickly heat
It is caused by warm and dry weather and results in red rash and itching of the skin.

Causes of Skin Allergies

The various causes of skin allergies are:

Change in temperature
Food allergens
Various drugs
Pollens
Dust and smoke
Soap products like detergents

Make a paste from sandalwood and limejuice, apply on the affected area it will provide relief from itching. This is a good home remedy for skin allergy.

Application of mashed almond leaves to the affected area is highly beneficial. This is one of the useful skin allergy cure.

Make a paste from five grams of garden mint in water. Sieve the water now add 12 grams of sugar, drink this syrup twice a day for immediate relief. This is a good home remedy for skin allergy.

Application of mashed papaya seeds on the area reduces itching.

Natural remedy for skin allergy - Application of lemon juice mixed with coconut oil is also beneficial.

Crush 1 tbls of poppy seeds with 1-teaspoon water and 1-teaspoon limejuice. Apply this to affected areas for quick relief from skin allergies. This is another good home remedy for skin allergies.

Intake of vitamin C reduces the chances of allergies. 1000mg of the vitamin is recommended daily. This is one of the simplest skin allergy remedy.

Drink a glass of water with two tablespoons of cider vinegar. This is a good natural remedy for skin allergy.

Smoking and heavy alcohol consumption should be avoided.

Grind 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds with 1-teaspoon water and add 1-teaspoon limejuice. Apply to affected area for relief from itching and redness. This is one of the effective home remedies for skin allergy.

Use of cosmetics should also be avoided.

Use Apple Cider Vinegar, mix in equal amounts of water to the vinegar and apply to the skin with cotton wool pad, do this twice a day, also take a teaspoon on apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and sip throughout the day. I agree apple cider vinegar is awesome!! You can really use it for almost everything. even for pets. My chow has a bad skin allergy, has to be on very expensive special food too. We we give her a little in her water dish, and apply to her skin in the a.m. in the p.m i use a little tea tree oil with aloe vera. when she gets to scratching and gives herself open wounds. they go away within a few days and she is so happy!!

A simple wet compress can relieve itchiness from hives. For young children, try popping them into a bath. Ensure it's not too hot as this will only make them itchier.
Some cleaning products can aggravate skin sensitivities. Whenever my carpets need to be cleaned I do them myself as my son is sensitive to the products. I always finish up with a vinegar rinse as this removes all traces of soap in the carpets. Don't worry about the smell, it goes away fairly quickly.
Beware of liquid paraffin (also known as liquidium paraffinium or MINERAL OIL). This product is found in moisturisers, hair products, and in massage/baby oil. Many people who have skin allergies react to this product as well.

baking soda works wonders for
rashes and open sores just make a paste out of baking soda and water
then apply to area leave on till completly dry this works really well
the baking soda dries the infection
right up takes the rash or sore away in a few days

i have got a skin allergy that has stayed on for about 9 months.It comes and goes if i go to the swimming pool or some allegic substance.it's just getting on my nerves.
It itches and a red patch appears just next to my nose.i apply a herbal cream and it goes ,then i go to swimming pool it just comes back again.can somebody give me a permanant solution for it.i have tried steroids tooo.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I've skin allergy , by what i don't know , i've taken treatment for atleast 3 years no effect i get rashes on my skin i used to take cetrizine for that allergy but how much i'll take in a week i used to get that twicw or thrice

one nyt wen i was kindeh small i put collogne on tissue and kept it on the side of my face.. and the next day i woke up findin a huge brown spot on the left side of my face... the spot has mostly disappeared now but still i can see that it is a bit dark frm my face.. could u pls tell me a cure to get rid of the spot?? i hav been dying to get rid of it! :-(

i m a chicken farmer..i have this skin allergy due to feeding the chickens-m allergic to sea foods and the chicken feed contains dry fish--the fleshy part below my knees is the worst affected,,it spreads to all parts of my legs..it is sometimes very itchy and leaves scar marks due to scratching,,,can u please tell me a remedy

I have skin allergy which arises only when i expose to sun. I can feel the heat that moment and the itching starts a little later. The skin area has tiny boils and as I itch it becomes red and after a point starts bleeding as the itching is uncontrollable. Please suggest a home remedy for this.

Some might be allergic to food and it comes out as skin rashes. see your doctor for medication and what to avoid. There's is test that will show you what food you are allergic to like fish chicken crabs, shrimps. Eat fresh food and vegetables. Some rashes are due to stress, so relax and manage also your anger. Some rashes are called contact dermatitis - might be allergic so some chemicals like those in perfurme, soap, dust, pollen, chorlne in pools or salt, etc - avoid it!!! for itch use calamine lotion or use malungay oil or VCO.Drink lots of water! If you can avoid scratching, do so. Do not use hot water when bathing.

i have at the red raised looking bumps that easily break around my forarm and around my shin area looks alittle different but breaks easily with scratching..and im getting brownish marks under my chest area on the side..these i can sorta pick at and they bleed easily, also mid chest area and NOW im seeing small reddish spots on my forehead and again they itch and leave marks and some don't pop...what I've used that works really well for the itching is vicks vapor rub and its definitely stops the itching and what not but i need to go see a dermitoligst damnit..i've always had nice skin and now this..

I too had the same kind of allergy problems like the one cited above about the sun harming the skin. I used to keep praying that it would go, one day I felt like God telling me to apply honey and yes, before you could think I am all making this up, just want to tell you that it worked.. just applying honey all over the affected parts made it go within 2 days.

My 8yr old step-daughter started to have what it seems some kind of allergy reaction in her face. I am not sure what it is or what might of caused it, but two days ago I applied kids sun screen on her and baby sun screen on the face (the ones that spray on) then they spent several hours on the sun playing in the pool and stuff. Immediately after they came inside my step daughter started to say her face was itching and her face was very red. She has been like that ever since, gave her benadryl but nothing, what can I do for her, she says it itches really bad and her face is really red, is all over her cheeks. Please help!

:-)I am itching continuously on my neck, face and hands, the portion of my body that is exposed to sun.
Skin has developed swelling, irresistible itching and discoloration. I saw the doctor, took steroids and Zyrtec; had temp relief. It is up again now and driving me nut. I am applying coconut oil but little help. Please help guys.

Hi everyone, I have 27mths daughter and she has rash around both eyes and her body itches. she scratches all the time. We went to Dermatologist and he said she is allergic to dustmite. we already treat her according to his instructions. but she still suffers from the rashes and itches. Hello I am experiencing skin irritation on my legs since 2007 until now. Its too itchy that I couldnt handle anymore. The affected area becomes larger from 1/4 inch to almost 8inches now. I Have an allergen to something in the brush of the fir tree I make wreaths and grow Xmas trees as a living so this has been hazardous to my income . I was tested a few years back and was not allergic to fir but here in NS the Lands and forest have released a virus into our woods to kill the tussock moth since then the allergy has occured and I have heard of others developing an allergy about the same time . The weird thing is it is only on my left eye, chin and left side of neck. I have found if I rub fresh cut apple it takes the itch completely away and the rash fades I hope this might work for someone else it can't hurt

If you have an allergy to dust mites or bed mites, buy eucalyptus oil and put several drops of it in a trigger sprayer with water. Spray all over mattress, pillows, bedding, carpets on a regular basis. Makes the room smell nice too. Don't forget to vacuum the mattress and hang all the bedding out in the sun as often as possible.

I put on some liquid make-up yesterday on the afternoon, and last night I felt a little itchy. I thought it was just dry skin or something, so i didn't do anything, but today I woke up with a red and itchy face. I've been holding a wet rag on my face all day, and slowly it's been subsiding. I actually put some baby powder on my face and it helped with the redness and itching. I tried the apple cider vinegar and water, and it already looks better. I am allergic to some nuts, so I'm use to having to be careful. If something similar has happened to you, you probably have allergies too.

I had a severe allergic reaction to pollination, hived up all over my body with eyes almost swollen shut. Now that the episode has cleared, the skin around and under my eyes are droopy and leathery. Similar to when a balloon is blown up and then the air is released, the tone of the balloon is saggy & stretched out. I just turned 20, so it's not an age related incident.
