Milk of Magnesia
Wash face with Phillips (plain) Milk of Magnesia nightly before going to bed. Leave on face and rinse in the morning. You will notice your skin becoming firmer immediatly! This is a wonderful, tried and true remedy of the stars!!

I want to know how to get rid of that line from your nose to your mouth... but I have an excellent remedy for softer skin! I mix two tablespoons of powdered milk with one tablespoon of honey, and a little bit of water to make a paste. Rub all over face and set for 10 minutes, rinse with cool water and enjoy the silky texture of your skin! Also, for lips... mix some brown sugar, olive oil, honey and mint extract if you like, to make an oily paste.... smooth onto lips and rub lips together (rinse after two or three minutes). For hair, olive oil is the best treatment I know, and any conditioner made with collagen. I also rinse with a quarter cup of vinegar and lemon juice two times a week to remove excess dirt and promote shine.

Plain rubbing alcohol to clean your face once a week get big results. But be sure to moisturize (suggest lotions without alcohol). olive oil or vitamin E for eye area.

I swear by a mixture of Retin A and Preparation H. I have been using this for years. Fish Oil tablets daily also make a BIG difference. I am 46 years old and am constantly asked what creams I use on my face. To get rid of the deeper wrinkles around your mouth and nose, forehead, etc., there is a process called needling. It is done with a tattoo machine and actually punctures the skin in the wrinkles. Your face creams will penetrate MUCH better, plumping the lines up. Use a numbing solution first and it is not nearly as painful as it sounds. (Google before and after for amazing photos on this). You can also do the chemical peels at home these days and they are very effective. Its all about exfoliating the dead skin on top of your face....
#20 - Vivian - 06/07/2009 - 14:03
Apply fresh Aloevera gel on the face, the last thing at night. It dries in two minutes. Rinse in the morning and watch the wrinkles and blemishes vanish. Just prick a vitamin C evion 400 capsule and apply the gel on the face at bed time, for a wrinkle free skin.

Most important is to have good sleep on time. Good diet and exercise routine. Basically, healthy lifestyle. Apart from this you can do multiple things.

1. Fuller earth and rose water face pack. After washing and drying massage with Olive oil.

2. Seaweed face pack and after washing and drying massage with Ricebran oil.

3. Use rose water as toner.

4. Eat nuts daily.
5. Never use make up, make your skin as good, so u never have to hide it behind chemicals

#33 - lalitha - 02/09/2010 - 02:59
Preparation H is a Hemmorroid ointment, it didn't work for me, it just made my eyes puffier, but cut a piece of lime and dab on the juice around your eyelids, helps reduce the puffiness.
#34 - MrsMayor - 02/14/2010 - 19:14
Preparation H does work. Some nights I forget to put it under my eyes and I regret it in the morning. I can tell a big difference on the nights I use it. I wake up to no bags under my eyes.
#35 - Steph - 03/15/2010 - 14:02

I have tried a mixture of honey, oatmeal and just a bit of moisturizing oil...since i didn't have the olive oil. It really, really worked. My face felt solf and moist for weeks and I only used it twice.
Even the dark circles under my eyes faded. Leave on face for at lease 30 mins then rinse with luke-warm to normal water. (not too warm or hot)
#38 - Dez - 04/23/2010 - 22:35

You can buy Preparation H in Boots n the UK in the form of a gel and an ointment for about £3.99 a tube although I have no idea which one the people on here use in their remedies.

If anyone can tell me which one to use (ointment or gel) it would be very much appreciated. Thank you for all your great remedies and please, please, please keep them coming!!!!!

I'm quite young (21) and has already started to develop tiny, premature wrinkles due to struggling with depression and a mental disorder that I have had to deal with for years now. I have wrinkles around my eyes and sides of my nose and they become more noticeable when I smile (especially a giant grin).

What worked for me was coconut oil (for hair an skin). You can buy this at any health food store and a few chemist stores. I apply a very tiny amount of coconut oil (3-4 drops worth) before I go to sleep and would reapply again for when I wake up. Within a week, my wrinkles has remarkably looked less visible. I feel a bit more confident when I smile now because I now look more of my age (I think I looked a few years older before I started using coconut oil). The wrinkles around my eyes is no longer visible - I don't have the slightly crow's feet appearance anymore. My face looks glowly and clearer. Also, the wrinkles on the side of my nose (unsure if they were actually pores) is almost disappearing. For those struggling with laugh lines, I don't know whether this would reduce the appearance of them as I haven't seen any difference yet. For puffy eyes, no reduction at all.

Oh, it isn't greasy if you're only using a few drops for your entire face. I found that it soaked up fast especially during winter.

This is definitely something that I can't live without. A great natural moisturiser that everybody should use! ALTHOUGH, this product should be taken with precaution - especially if your skin is very sensitive.
#47 - Elle - 08/07/2010 - 09:45
Ok, Question? How can you get rid of the lines from your nose to the corner of your mouth. They are very noticeable on me. I don't even have to smile. They are still visible. Please help...Thanx:)

Preparation H sold in the US is not the same mixture as the versions sold in Canada. Make sure it has Bio Dyne in it which is the ingredient supposingly to work on wrinkles and eye puffiness. I live in the States and bought it on Amazon. Unfortunately it didn't work on me nor on my 2 friends. Lots of women swear on it though. For the post concerning freckles. Freckles are CUTE!!! There is not a lot you can do about it, EXCEPT:wear a high sunblocker to avoid getting more of them and you can slightly bleach them with following, (considering that you also have some issues with acne do it to your whole face, it will also help to clear up your acne: rub lemon on it , rub freckles twice a day with red onions, put sour cream on it with some honey, horseradish juice. It will take some time though. Do not expect to lighten them up over night
#60 - Severine - 11/26/2010 - 21:19

As a dermatologist I am astounded by how gullible people are. Rubbing oil in your skin may produce a temporary effect, but in the long term it will do nothing to prevent or remove wrinkles.

If you want to avoid getting wrinkles, use a SPF-10 moisturiser occasionally to prevent the sun damage exacerbating the -unpreventable- instrinsic (ageing) damage.

For already existing wrinkles, formulas with all-trans retinoic acid applied to the skin have been proven to work well.

There is no foodstuff that will noticeably change wrinkle formation, nor get rid of existing wrinkles.
#65 - CK - 01/12/2011 - 09:30
You being a dermatologist doesn't make me believe what you have to say.
there are plenty of people that go to dermatologist and still have unsolved skin issues. you people hand out just as many quick fixes! so best of luck to people that are trying all-natural home remedies . maybe it works.. maybe it won't... but be comforted by the fact that at least you didn't " try your luck " with harsh chemicals .
#66 - SP - 02/13/2011 - 16:21
I found that my face looks much more radiant after using a $3.00 bottle of Rosewater and Glycerin I bought at CVS. B vitamins help greatly, and I've found it works even BETTER if you chew gummy vitamins. The gelatin makes my hair, skin, and nails look great. Especially my nails....I can't believe what a difference it has made. They look fake, they're so long. Target sells multivitamins and B vitamins in gummies....I'm real bad about taking my vitamins, but I always remember to pop a few gummies because they're delicious
#67 - pippen - 02/16/2011 - 18:03
Dry skin gets wrinkles sooner than oily skin, if you have dry skin hydrate your skin vitamin E moisturizer, exfoliate your skin 2 times in a week. You can do some facial exercises too it really helps in toning muscles.;-)
#68 - shikha - 02/17/2011 - 15:58
I have been using Shielo's Anti-Aging Complexion Moisturizer for 6 weeks now and there is a noticable difference. Many of my fine line wrinkles have disappeared, specially around my mouth. Other wrinkles are less pronounced and visable. Use it!
#69 - GenessaV - 02/23/2011 - 20:13
There are deep wrinkles and there are surface fine wrinkles. The cause of deep wrinkles is a loss of muscle tone under the skin. The cause of surface wrinkles is loss of elastin and moisture which causes wrinkles and sagging skin. Many of the remedies posted here will work somewhat for many people, especially for surface wrinkles. For the deep ones, google Face Lifing by Exercise by Senta Marie Runge. I've used her book and method since the early 70's.
Body builders need to work on their face muscles too, but most don't as you can see in their photos.
#70 - Oldie But Goodie - 03/20/2011 - 13:12
A caution here about using Preparation H on the face or eyes- yes it works for many people, but if you have high blood pressure, ask your doctor first before you use it in a manner not on the product label. Anybody with diabetes, high blood pressure or any chronic illness really needs to be careful about what they use whether it is internal or external. Not trying to be a party pooper here, just giving some advice to think about. :-)

I'm turning 39 this week and I've always had pretty good skin and no wrinkles, until this past Thanksgiving when I took a picture and a friend pointed out my smile lines. I never noticed I had them until he said something. I saw I had one on my right cheek and right part of my chin, but now I see one forming on my left side. It could be sleep lines too. Not sure. I'm so self conscious and HATE to take pictures. I've been using coconut oil, but I don't see any changes. Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated -

i myself noticed under eye wrinkles that after my first baby last year i am 29. i was frantic, my family has great skin and they use only coconut oil. it works my granma is 88 she has few wrinkles my dad could pass as 37-40 yrs. they swear by it but i wanted something to fix this fast not the old fashion thing. lol well i paid so much money and i did not get the results i wanted i eve got a collagen cream from my dermatologist. well the bottle finished and i was 75$ poorer. i took a bottle of my grand's coconut oil and use it for 3 weeks oh yea there is a big diff it is oily so mix it with some regular cream or use it with the aloe jell. i do have the best mask for antiaging and blemishes, one lemon juice little honey, small piece of grated ginger and some gram flour (i got it from loblaws it was cheap i am not sure if regular flour will work). mix it to a paste and apply to your face, for 30 mins. your face feels like silk, looks so young, marks appear somuch lighter and your pores so much smaller. awesome try it you will never go back. tandy from canada

i think this site is awesome. i'm 64 and a lot of these I hav tried or heard about over the years and they work, but always remember that everything doesn't work for everyone. u just hav to try and c what works for u. anytime u can get back to natural cures u r better off for urself. less chemicals r always better.

*Caution, do not use Lemon juice during the day, it will brown the face! Safe to use at night. When using turmeric, only add the tiniest amount, it will stain the face. Baking soda mixed in coconut oil is great for face wash, and straight coconut oil is great moisturizer. Hydroplenish is awesome vitamin you will notice within minutes, and Ageless Telemeres is even more awesome and what we all need ;)

Hi All!! I tried Vaseline jelly for my skin, and it works!! I put it on at night it makes my skin feel soft and radiant the next day. Also drink a lot of water to flush out any toxin. Do some facial exercise it is the same as the rest of your body and needs exercise to. Good luck. I hope this helps for some.

Preparation H is a cream you buy at a store or pharmacy. It is used for Hemeroids. It shrinks them. Hope this helps those ones who asked. :)

Could someone please suggest home remedies for heavily wrinkled hands and fingers. I am 58 and I have this problem for the past 12 years though I never bothered about it. Also I don\'t really do any housework, yet I have dry hands and arms n fingers. I avoid using oils since they are messy. Please help!

I hate to say this but all those homemade remedies they work but over a period of 3 to 6 months if you\\\'re wise you\\\'ll get you a facial massager and just target those areas and use coconut oil before and after I am 67 years old and I had double bags under both eyes and a deep crease between my nose and my lips and they were all gone inside of one month believe me when I tell you get a nice face massager I need any massage your I have a body massage to by wall and I use it on my face and it\\\'s miraculous walhl body massager 10mins on face great results everyday took 10yrs off my face in one month

I am 40+ and had age lines around the eyes. Collagen in skin care products does work! After a few days of using the Somaluxe Triple Collagen Eye Gel, I just looked in the mirror and yes, my face now appears unlined and smoother, with an interesting kidding. It plumps the eye area so they are less visable.
