#29 - hazet freak - 08/03/2010 - 10:17
For the people with itchy thighs and underarms, if the rashes are circular, there's a good chance you have a fungal infection. Try to use CLEAN fresh towels after every shower/bath - dont use the same towel over and over - all you're doing is spreading the infection. Also, try to decrease the amount of sugar and carb intake in your diet - eat too much of these and you're basically feeding the fungus. Eat more veggies! Go to a health food store and buy either oil of oregano OR even better, black walnut oil. Both kill bacteria and fungi but the walnut oil also kills any parasites that might be present AND its also good for people who suffer from yeast infections. Whether its bacterial, fungal, or yeast, dont forget to eat yogurt daily (or puchase acidophilis tablets if you cant eat yogurt).

Make a point of eating a well balanced diet - your body is your greatest asset and you only have ONE to work with so you owe it to yourself to treat it right....plus most issues are caused by not eating right, therefore eating healthily is the cheapest way to prevent any future skin issues.

:-o

So Hello there, I have had itchy skin my entire life!
I started to take Neem capsules and Rus Tox homeopathic My itching is starting to get better.
I know the best thing is to eat a lot of salad, it cleanses the blood. It's just so hard to eat all the time. bleh..
I also often find my pores on my legs and feet are getting blocked because I get pimples. Best thing ever is to use a tea tree soap- then a nice scrub- then a moisturizer.
This is a hard thing to control the "crazy itching!!!!" I have patches of scratches all over me body
#37 - Andrea - 11/29/2010 - 20:56
Rub oil on body while still wet from bath n pat dry,No more dry skin
#38 - donna - 01/04/2011 - 17:00
#36; yours sounds like it may be formication, which is a side effect of some drugs, menopause, and even anemia. It feels like ants or bugs crawling on your skin. I had it for years while I was iron-deficient anemic, especially in my lower legs, but once my system got more in balance that side effect went away. Unfortunately nothing topical will help for this, if this is indeed your issue...
#39 - TB - 01/15/2011 - 23:10
Best thing for bug bites of any kind is toothpaste! Put a dab on each bite and cover with a band-aid. When the swelling has gone down rinse do not rub the toothpaste off, best way to do this is in the shower.

REMEDY:
I have extremely itchy legs when the weather changes. I fear I will go insane the itchiness is so bad.

Recipe: I tried 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water and was amazed by the instant relief.

Also be certain to apply an unscented lotion after showering. Also do not bathe or shower in hot water. Keep the water comfortably warm. It's a sacrafice but I'd rather have a warm shower and not itch later than a hot shower with sensory overload itching on my legs hours later.
Good luck all

Buy some 'colloidal silver' spray and spray on the itchy parts and rub in..should cure all your itching within 1 or 2 days.. do it 3 times a day. get it from a pharmacy.
cures all types of itching and thrush. (only kills bacteria's that cause the problem, so it doesnt work on bites coz that is a histamine fighting protein problem)
#42 - My thoughts - 07/21/2011 - 03:04
For itchy bites rub in some (deep heat) or whatever your country calls liniment (for sports/back injury relief) you know the strong smelling stuff. once you rub that in spray the area with Hair spray.... instant relief, do that once or twice a day and by the second evening you probably wont need to anymore. Instant relief.
#43 - My thoughts (again) - 07/21/2011 - 03:09
Thank you all for the advice. I will pray for you. I will try the vicks and diet changes. Ice packs work in a pinch too.
I need to get the colloidal silver too,... good to have on hand for SO many things. I hear in concentrated nano doses it can even cure malaria! Amazing!
Take care of yourselves and God be with you all.

Three weeks my arm itched for no reason. a rash developed. Ammonia took away the itch and helped with the rash. The itch has spread to my other arm, ears and back of hands. Ammonia didn't work for them. Peppermint oil is working for my ears. Vicks, for the back of my hands. Never had this itching before. I really appreciate reading about other peoples experience. Thanks
#45 - Suzane - 08/23/2011 - 09:37
see comment #45.Happiness. The cause of my rash was weeds that brushed my arm. Took homeopathic allergy medicine. I get to live happily ever after. I sincerely hope you all can find the cause and solution. (go back to the day before it started) Those weeks of itching were shear misery. Peppermint oil also helped with the itching

I have itchy swollen painful toes. Not sure of the cause. My native is South India But I'm now in USA (West Coast) for the past twenty five days. After coming here for few days no problem was there. I used new pair of shoes bought in USA. If that was the cause the rashes and swelling should have come down when I stopped using it but it's increasing day by day and spreading to the whole feet. Daytime there is no much problem, But in the night it itches like piercing with needle. So far the only temporary relief was keeping the feet in Cold salt water. I have tried olive oil, turmeric paste, garlic, Hydrocortisone and Histamine ointments but no relief ( I have not tried anything continuously as I didnt know the actual cause. Each I tried for maximum 5 times.) Whenever the body gets heated up it starts itching. I'm living in a cool place but unable to wear shoes, and cover my feet with anything which keep them warm. I didnt sleep well for more than two weeks. In the nights Im not covering myself as the itch starts as soon as i do, So I'm suffering both by Itching and also killing chillness. Please somebody give the right solution for this. I m scared of trying things as it may worsen it. (I washed my feet with hot water and applied dettol initially and the itching and swelling increased). Im not able to immediately consult any Dermatologist here ,they are giving appoinments after 3, 4 months. Please do help.

Wash affected area with Apple Sider Venegar mixed in warm water (atleast 3-5 times per day). Apply Tea Tree Oil 3-5 times per day. Please follow above points atleast 7days. old time remedy that works. Plain Corn Starch that is used for cooking. Use it like a powder, between thighs, under hanging belly and breasts. It brings instant relief and keeps working throughout the day. NOT store bought powders with corn starch, they have other ingredients. Just plain corn starch. Try it you'll see. My grandmother taught me and I'm now 70 and have no rashes or itching in areas most other people have. I have also had great comments made by nurses about not having all those red rashes in those places. They expect people to have them.

rub lightly with sea salt on the itching area and let it stay for a few minutes and wash off with water.it works. make sure it is sea salt or Himalayan salt, not the factory manufactured white table salt which is merely a combination of chemicals

#63 - vishal - 09/25/2013 - 18:01
For itching in legs, mix little salt to coconut oil (optionally few drops of tea tree oil can be added). Mix this well and gently massage this oil on affected area. You can leave it on your skin the whole night / wash off with mild soap after 30 min. Avoid too much scraching as this will aggravate the condition.
