dark circles
Most people don't know this, but sometimes the cause of dark circles around the eye may be caused by WORMS. I recently experienced the same, and I realized that it was time for me to take a worm out. Any worm medication can be used for this but I use Zentel or Sena pod tea is effective as well.

Remedy for Under Eye Dark Circles
I tried the almond oil on my eyes for the past 3 months and the results are not as good as I had hoped. Around my eyes the circles are gone however, the inner corner of my eyes are still dark. I will try the tomato juice, lemon juice, tumeric and flour next and report back after 2 months.

Home Remedies for Dark Circles under Eyes
I have suffered from extremely dark cirlces all my life because of anemia which is a common cause of dark circees expecially in women.
The below is a home remedy I created myself and it does work.

1. Wash the face with a mild soap using warm water and gently pat your face with a face clothe ( do not rub the face or dry completely leave face moiste.

2. Use an exfolient and gently with a cotton ball cleanse above the and below pat dry with a dry cotton ball ( do not dry completely leave top and bottom of eye moiste.

3. Use a facial moisterzier under both the top and bottom of the eye and gently rub in a circular motion.

4. Take 5 slices of cucumber apiece of 1" long Aloe and 2 green tea packets ( empty the tea ) and put all into a blender.

5. Add 1oz of rosewater into the blender and put blender speed crush. Crush until is find then blend for 30 seconds.

6. Take ingrediants and gently apply to bottom on the eye rubbing in slow circular motions.

7. Leave on eyes for approx 30 minutes.

8. After the 30 minutes are up use warm water to rinse off and gently pat the eye dry.

NOTE: This works for me and others I have recommend it to but please keep in mind that this is something that needs to be done when you have the time and atleast 3 times a week for several weeks. You will however notice a slight change in the darkness of the cirlces to be a little lighter.

APPLYING CONCEALER, COVER-UP AND POWDER
When applying make up.
1. Use a concealer that is a shade lighter than your cover-up and gently blend in a circular motion.

2. The use a yellow and a blue concealer under the eye and gently blend in a circular motion.

3. When putting your cover-up on do not blend in by your eyes. ( being the cover-up is darker than the concealer if you blend in under the eye you will make the cirlces darker because of the cover-up.

4. Lightly dust the facial powder onto your face and under the eye.

DRAWING ATTENTION TO THE UPPER PART OF YOUR EYE AND NOT THE BOTTOM
1. Use a liquid eyeliner on the top eyelid not the bottom. You need to use black and black only.

2. Do not use shades pink and purple eye shadows. By doing do will then enhance the dark circles under your eyes.

3. Do not put mascara on your bottom lashes once again this will draw attention to the bottom of your eyes

Dark Circles Under Eyes
Ive had dark circles under eyes for as long as I can remember.
Im 15 now and they are terrible.
No matter how much I sleep they dont seem to fade.
I have tried ice, and keep spoons in the fridge but they just get rid of the puffiness not the actuall dark circles.
I go through a concealer a week and its becoming quite expensive and it doesnt stay on throughout the day.
I also read that its genetic but no one in my family has them.
Is there a cheap, effective way of getting rid of them as they really make me lack confidence.
And whats the best food which contains a lot of fibre as i lack that too.

Thanks.

ugh I have had these dark circles since I was about 3. I still haven't figured out the cause of them but a few things i have tried that i do NOT recommend are the cremas from avon and revalon i've used them for twice a day for just over year and have seen absolutley no results. I am now trying this remedy of putting COLD water in a ziploc bag and putting it on your eyes until you fall alseep
#12 - Nathalie - 01/09/2008 - 20:52
Im 26 and I have had dark circles and hugh bags under my eyes for years. growing up I was accused of being on drugs, staying up for days, and being depressed because of the way my eyes look. And none of those things was true! I wish I had tried finding a remedy for my prob much sooner. would have made my life a little more pleasant. To the younger ones that have posted on this site, please. please. please keep trying everything you hear or read about. I have tried the cuccumbers and the tea bags and they both work great. Although I have had this prob for so long I have to do the remedy every night before going to bed. But the end result is I feel better about myself.
#13 - april - 01/15/2008 - 13:38
I'm 17 years old and of Italian heritage so I know how much this sucks. I've had them as long as I can remember. the best thing really is to get enough sleep and drink ALOT of water. I also found that Using a mint tea bag helps too. If you use one thats warm then super cold it helps alot.
#14 - Emily - 01/19/2008 - 09:20

Well.. since i hit puberty i'v had this problem of dark circles.. and i know it can really put your self asteem and confidence to rock bottom!

But this fantastic solution worked for me.. and i want to share it with you also! Because it really does work =P

---->

Mix honey and flour to form a sloppy mixture.. along with a few drops of lemon juice! Add water to allow it to become just that little less solified and apply below your eyes! Keep it on until the flour hardens and starts to crumble. This should be about 10-15 minutes. Once its off.. wash your face with warm water! Apply every day- have a fixed time! I used to do it every evening =D.. And you'l have the WOW-FACTOR in no time!

Look beautiful.. Feel beautiful [X]

it's easy and it actually works!!!
#18 - api ele - 02/05/2008 - 22:16

I bought Hylexin for $100 and used it for 8 months now and it did not help one bit! So home remedys are the way to go. Until you've done them all don't waste your money.

:-o:-):-P:-[]

is there a way to get rid of them with out putting gross stuff on your eyes????
#23 - hi - 02/25/2008 - 15:28
:-) frank white try grated potato or cucumber if it doesn't work then drink water 6 glasses per day or simply when you go to sleep, i did try it, it really works. i mean when you go to sleep just crush one potato on the blender and put some on the dark circle under your eyes and let it overnight. when you wake up you will see some changes. Best of luck !
#24 - noory - 03/05/2008 - 07:22
Dark Circles under the eyes can also come from severe allergies. Things like dust and pollen get into your eyes and can cause your eyes to be worn and tired and scratchy and get dark circles under them.
#25 - Vsl - 03/19/2008 - 23:25
i use COFEE. dab a little under the eye and leave it on until its dry and wash it off.

(the coffe mixed with cold water)

its a quick fix though, and not permanent.

Gd luck

#29 - Natalie - 04/19/2008 - 18:17
For those of you who haven't had any luck with the home remedies, I have a little make-up trick that will help you cover the dark circles up!
A yellow tinted stick concealer (best is Physician's Formula Gentle Cover Concealer Stick in Yellow). Apply it as much as needed to cover any dark areas. Then apply a slightly lighter shade (than you would use on the entire face) of liquid foundation over the under eye area and blend. Next, take a mineral foundation (I use Physician's Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear Loose Powder) and dust it over the under eye area (this mineral loose powder also works wonders on the whole face and gives it a nice glow). If after those steps the under eye area is too light to match the rest of your face, simply take your bronzer and lightly sweep it under your eyes but make sure to blend the bronze color to match the rest of your face for a nice summery glow and no dark circles! Hope it works for ya'll!

Ok,I'm 12 and I have had dark circles very badly for about a year or 2 now and i wear concealer and powder but I would much rather just get rid of them for at least a period of time.I'm going into 7th grade and this is getting ridiculous. I think they may be hereditary because my dad and mom both have them only not as bad as me.I heard that it's very hard to get rid of hreditary circles but they look like the kind you could get rid of.So does anyone recomend anything for me?I will try the other remedies too so wish me luck :-) Good luck to everyone else too!

#36 - CIci - 06/14/2008 - 06:31
Hey everyone, I'm 14 years old and I've been struggling with extreme under eye bags for MANY years. They're in my genes. There isn't much you can do about them. Popped blood vessels are hard to overcome... especially if you have sensitive skin. So each morning when i get up and wash my face, I apply a bit of lotion to the area and dab some soft sheer cover concealer over it. (NEVER rub your concealer, ALWAYS dab using your ring finger or you'll get serious crows feet in a matter of years.) Sometimes I like to chill my eyes with high tannin tea and ice water. But mostly, just get more than enough sleep and drink lots of water. There is no cure. It's just in your genes. It pretty much sucks... hope this helped!
#37 - Shannon - 06/16/2008 - 15:51

Take a fish oil capsule and take the oil out and gently massage it under the eyes. You will see a different in a day... Not a whole lot but slight for a day. I know how you feel... I have had dark circles for past 10 years... I feel very embarssed to make eye contact. I am always afraid someone might say something about the darkness
#53 - preciouschick - 10/16/2008 - 22:06
I think this really helps. take the oil out of the fish oil capsule and apply softly under the eyes. I tried it a few times it helped. Also, do take the capsule orally.
I hate these dark circles...they really make a person look unattractive. I hesitate to make eye contact with people....I hope it helps... :)
#54 - Preciouschick - 10/16/2008 - 23:35
Hi guys, yup its official

GET TWO TEABAGS. SOAK THEM IN HOT WATER THEN OUT IN FRIDGE FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES. TAKE THEM OUT AND PLACE ON EYES FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. THEN CUT TWO SLICES OF POTATO AND SOAK IN TEA JUICE PLACE IN EYES FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES.
This really helps the colour fade.
Hope i helpedd, xx

I'm very busy and i hardly have any time to sit around. Also, i need stuff that i'd find sitting around in my cupboard, not some crazy chemical i've never heard of before. I'd really appreciate some help.
thanks a lot(:

#60 - Sahil - 11/12/2008 - 06:47
Hey first off ii would like to say i know how you feel.
but i have a double wammy. my facial structure causes my eyes but be sunk in i guess you could say and my skin there is really thin.
*mix nutmeg and milk together
it is a get way to reduce the bags
*apply around eyes before you go to sleep and wear it all night. you will notice they are lighter so depending on the darkness it will help. then durring the day put on some cover up. i am happy with the results. i noticed a dramatic reduction in my bags i hope this helps some one.
#61 - Ashley - 11/22/2008 - 18:33
why would anyone put garlic under their eyes, honestly, or Pee. If it sounds that dramatic, dont fall for it. Thats disgusting. Consult your doctor if youre that extreme. Ive been using concealer for the past while but now looking for home remedies. And btw, dont you think coffee would make the circles DARKER, not take them away!
#62 - Dar - 12/10/2008 - 02:40
this isnt so much a home made remedy but, using a yellow concealer when applying makeup around the eyes is very effective accept dab it on because if you rub it in than it will enhance your cirlces. then apply your natural concealer to blend it in.
i have it dark circles all around my eyes and i am lookin for something natural to experiment with but this is good for now untill something comes along.
and for that comment about pee? are u serious? thats kinda werid ... anyone else tried it?
#63 - Ammanda - 12/13/2008 - 02:12
I can't provide a home remedy but when it comes to makeup, I've mastered quick, simple, and 100% effective.

Get:
A concealer that is almost white compared to your skin tone... make sure it's not a liquid concealer, but rather, one of those cream ones in a stick or a pot
A tan bronzer

Use your ring finger to pat on concealer (don't rub or you're wasting your time) until it's even all over your dark circle areas. Then take a contour brush and put the bronzer over the under-eye area.

The light concealer and the bronzer work miracles together, cancel out in colour, and in many cases end up with an airbrushed effect.

Always take off your makeup with eye-makeup remover designed for waterproof stuff. It's a bit oily, but you can wash off any residue, and there's less vigorous rubbing on the eye-area.
#64 - Schelle - 12/14/2008 - 10:10
For the dark circles, have tried the age old prescription passed on by my nani
Make a paste of garlic, clove & mint of equal proposition adding to one table spoon. Add lemon & sparow drops of equal proposition to the earlier paste & apply evenly to the eye & upto the nose. This is because the skin stretches on drying. You can also make this paste & add amla (04 pieces) and consume for cleansing. This has worked wonders, try it.

NEVER EVER PUT LEMON JUICE ON YOUR EYES! Seriously, the skin under your eyes is so fragile and as lemon is basically Mother Nature's bleach it is far too harsh. Especially if you have naturally dry skin anyway.

I think whether or not these remedies depends on what has caused the dark circles under your eyes. So if these haven't worked I'd suggested seeing a Beauty Therapist (don't be afraid to ask about his/hers qualifications.) Perhaps your skin is prone to having bags or you need moisture more often or whatever it is.

Naturally this will cost money but these people are trained and shall be knowledgeable about all facets of the skin.

They may advise a product. These products are more often then not expensive. Keep in mind though that unlike supermarket skin ranges these are being sold to a very informed consumer. They have to be clincally tested and contain concentrated things like Vitiam A which doesn't come cheap. Most home remedies are effective because they contain a lower dosage of vitiams or whatever naturally. This isn't really helpful if your problem isn't completely average.

What I do when see a Beauty Therapist after the treatement is I ask for a sample. Why should I be spending money without first hand evidence? I also find out what the active ingredient is and see if other skin care companies sell a similar product for cheaper. Make sure that it doesn't contain alcohol as this will ruin the skin in the long run. (Like ProActive which rids the skin of pimples by completely robbing of it's natural oils which can lead to early wrinkles.)

Also ask about natural or cheaper remedies. I have to be careful with mine as I have very fragile skin. So I explained that I really can't afford anything. I was thus advised to always wear sunscreen and told about a rather cheap effective mask which can be made at home.

If the Beauty Therapist doesn't help complain about them to your friends so no one will go there. hahaha
Then see a Doctor and find out if the problem is caused by a lack of iron or whatever. Or perhaps ask your local chemist if they still any treatments and which one rated the best in clinical tests.

You can do something by making yourself informed about the cause of the problem and researching the various solutions.

I don't whether or not that was helpful but I hope it was. Good luck in banishing those bags!

put fresh lemon juice on twice a day and you will see results in a week. helps with wrinkles and acne too.
#73 - Shannon - 01/09/2009 - 00:08
hi try this u may get ride of dark circles take babam powder & milk make a paste of it a apply under eye it works coolllllllll
#74 - ankitha - 01/10/2009 - 02:38
Before you do anything FIRST get a good herbal detox to clense your colon and a parasite removal herb combination. Take this for about 3 to 4 weeks. Along with this, add iron, a multi vitamin with enyzmes and extra Vit C will help clear this up over time. Good nutrition is vital to your health so eat veggies and fruit too. You can try those external remedies but this is an internal problem.
#75 - eyewrist - 01/10/2009 - 19:35
I'm so mad. My classmates always tease me about the dark circles around my eyes and the bags. I go to sleep very early and wake up late. One of my close friends tell me that i should put spoons in the freezer and put it under my eyes, but i dont think that will work. I want something that works well and almost instantly or instantly for that matter. I also want something that will be easy and quick to make. I want something that i can put on my darkcircles and bags at night and when morning comes its gone or almost gone.
#76 - chpinky08 - 01/15/2009 - 15:37
The Avon cream doesn't work. I've tried it for the past few weeks with no results.

I'm going to try the cucumber thing.
#77 - MsLady - 01/18/2009 - 14:38
apply cold ta bags and potato juice.will work wonders.try not to touch that area often.the skin there is soft so you need to be really really gentle.i don't think using flour under your eyes is a good idea.as flour when gets dry hardens...and anything which is hard and dries shouldn't be used under your eyes as the skin around that area is really really soft.it will only give you wrinkles later in life..drink a lot of water.don't rub your eyes, try not to squint, war shades whenever you are out and about in the sun.almond oil is a good option.but don't apply it during the day .apply a good under eye cream.
#78 - muskan - 01/29/2009 - 11:57
I HAVE DARK CIRCLES TOO!

#79 - rach - 02/05/2009 - 11:15
I dont like having bags and dark circles under my eyes , mostly on school days so heres what i do ,

1. Go to bed at 9:30 the latest.

2. Get a warm flannel or cloth and lay on your eyes untill it goes cold.

3. Rub some Mouisturiser around the dark circles in a circular mosian.

3. Get at lease 9 hours sleep.

4. In the morning slip on Some plain teabags to reduce the bags.

5. Your eyes will feel dry so slip on two slices of cucumber to freshen them up, it will also brighten up your eyes, also you could dry brightening drops if you need to.

6. Get some concealer and try your best to blend it in and dab some pressed powder over the top.

7. Also you could try some brown eyeliner which will make your dark circles less noticable.

Hope this helps! Good luck x

I don't have a remedy, I am looking for one, all of these may be great, but I think that I will try the fishoil capsule and see what happens, I have had dark circles as long as I can remember and I have been using concealor, but am looking for something to eliminate them if possible, if the fishoil works, I will let you know
#81 - Pahlee - 02/16/2009 - 18:01
Hey my fellow dark circle victims! I looked at this site and I can honestly say the most helpful would have to be the fish oil capsules. I am 32 of age and developed dark circles under my eyes at the age of 20. Since then I always have on makeup. I sleep in my makeup!!! I have been to several dermatologists and spent alot of money on products that DO NOT WORK!! I am now trying the fish oil capsules (piercing through the capsule)and apply under the eye area. I also oredered a free sample of IQ Derma. I have been using this method twice a day for 1 month now and I have noticed that my dark circles have lighten about 50%. I also had my DR to write me a RX for 4% hydroquinone. I have been using this in addtion to the fish oil and IQ derma. I am also going to start taking the fish oil capsules orally. I am desperate to find the cure and I feel that I am well on the way with this one. I have a 12 year old son and I pray that he doe's not inherit these awful circles as he is a male and will not have the option of cover up. so I am determined to fine a cure if he ever needs it. Also, if you order the IQ derma they offer a free trial and you just have to pay shipping and handling. The catch is they will bill you for the amount of the next order on your credit card, usually around 89.00. If this is ok with you then fine, for those who can't afford it make sure you cancel within the time frame and be aware then as well, as I have had companies to bill me early. The best thing to do is to purchase a prepaid visa or matercard through green dot and you can get these at CVS or Walmart...pay 9.95 plus the amount you wish to load and order with this card. That way your safe and secure!! Good luck to you all and I will update this month by month! As a little motivation...Everything worth having that is good takes time. So, be patient and don't give up, most of these remedies will not work over night. But, if you give it time you may see some results. ;-)
#82 - Finding a answer - 02/23/2009 - 21:31
Iv'e had dark circles since I was about 2, i'm 13 now. All these cures sound really good it's just that most of them really aren't around in the house. I need a really simple recipe that works and is comprised of everyday products. Would crushed ice work mixed with whatever work, since it would have the cold factor as well as the pasty stuff above?
#83 - loosethegoose - 03/28/2009 - 03:48
I also have had extremely bad dark circles for as long as I can remember. I'm only 19 now and i'm tired of jus "covering up" the problem. i need a true solution! I've tried several different products like facial creams, skin brighteners, eye creams, skin bleaches, etc. I've even tried Hylexin (which was $100 and made specifically for dark circles & was supposed to be guaranteed to work) & even that didn't work. I'm glad to know other ppl suffer with this problem besides me. Fourtunantly for me it never really had the opportunity to mess up my life. I've always been popular and considered to be very attractive. I never allowed anyone to c my little problem, and that had been fine for tha last couple of years. I just used my cover up & went along with my day to day life. Until resently, when my boyfriend of a year 1/2 decided to ask y he's nvr seen me w/out it. I didn't kno what to say so I just kinda played it off like i don't really need it & stuff like that. BC i know he loves me but if he knew about it i'm affraid that he would leave. But i feel trapped! like i'm a prisoner to it bc i can never leave the house without it & i mean NEVER! i really feel sad bc i get tired of feeling like i have to look a certain way or i won't be excepted or won't get as much attention. I really had given up hope and had even considered laser surgery. But I'm going to try some of your suggestions & really hope they work. Overall i just really wanna be able to look in the mirror and see me! the REAL me without this one horrible problem. -thanx for all ur suggestions:-)
#84 - Maylana - 04/01/2009 - 10:33
On 2/23/09 I placed a comment on #82......Today is april 7th and while my circles haven't completely gone away they are over 50% improved. I also added another regimen with Oil of olay microdermabrasion treatment. I used this twice a week and I really think that with the fish oil capsules and 4% hydroquine.. it has helped! For some reason I feel that the fish oil has more of an effect. I know I have never had better results with anything else that I have tried. Maylana, I can really relate to you I am Very attractive and people tell me all the time how gorgous I am and it makes me sad because I think to myself "If they only knew what was under my makeup!" I don't like to take trips or let my family and friends see me first thing in the morning because they ask me why do I still have on makeup! It's heartbreaking. I can now feel a little more comfortable showing my face at home since I have been using this method. But, I have yet to show anyone.
#85 - Finding a answer - 04/07/2009 - 21:33

#87 - Josef - 04/15/2009 - 10:46
Ok, i've been using the fish oil and almond oil for a few weeks now, but i haven't seen any improvement just yet. my only question is WHERE CAN I FIND ALMOND OIL? that stuff is extremely hard to find! i've jus been using "almond extract" because it contains almond oil in it. If anyone knows where to find it that would be greatly appriciated
:-)
#88 - maylana - 04/16/2009 - 11:29
..........by the way, the almond extract has i burning sensation that last a few seconds and then goes away is this normal? I put it on other parts of my face but it doesn't have that burning sensation on any other areas. confused.....
#89 - maylana - 04/17/2009 - 11:13
My dark circles are horrible, where can I find gram flour?
#90 - sdutch13 - 04/18/2009 - 06:56
Dear #88... you can find Almond Oil at almost any vitamin store such as GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe... its usually under $10 for a 16oz bottle... just make sure its 100% pure and not lotion... to be most effective
#91 - JLO - 04/19/2009 - 22:30
you can also find almond oil at amost any health food store, they have loads of essential oils. and don't use extract! it has alcohol in it, thus explaining your complaint of burning. i just bought some today and i'll see how it goes. oh and as for covering up, i find concealer doesn't work for me. i have very fair thin skin so if you are like me, i sometimes use a little (and i mean a pretty small amount) white eyeshadow. it reflects the light off of your dark circles and gives your eyes a brighter look. but only do this if you're uber pale, like moi.
#92 - DED - 04/20/2009 - 20:05
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar

#100 - asin - 05/20/2009 - 11:34
I have had dark circles for as long as I can remember and I am 22 now. This won't cure them but it hides them!

What you will need:
*moisturizer
*orange lipstick (matte with no shimmer)
*concealer
*powder

First apply a moisturizer all around your eye. Then dab a very small amount of the orange lipstick on the dark circles. Next use your concealer over the orange (you can also use it on your eyelid which makes your eyeshadow last a lot longer). Lastly you lightly apply a powder foundation over the concealer under the eye.

Hope this works for some of you!

i can so relate to you guys...i have dark circles...i didnt have them growing up so dont know wat caused them....but once doctor told me that im low on iron so maybe that is the cause...i started eating total ceral which has 100% iron...for the ppl who are using hydroquine you should really read the information that is out for that product...many countries have banded that product so i doubt its really safe...it can cause cancer so plz dont use that.... ive been searchin for a solution...im 23 years old and i hate when ppl point them out...i tired puttin makeup to cover them up but it always makes them look worse...i have tired creams but havent seen a big difference...i think i will try the fish oil capsules...i really hope it works...ill post an update if it makes any difference
#103 - kirstin - 06/09/2009 - 21:46
I hear many of you talking about cost..and as some of these are effective over a period of time...let me explain exactly what causes dark circles and how to rid youself of them in a short time...

OK...the thin skin under your eyes are loaded with tons of capolaries..tiny veins that contain blood of course...and what happens is...blood escapes from these and rise to the surface...much like a bruise

NOW...a quick, free and easy fix is simple...while your watching your favorite TV show...use 1 or 2 fingers and tap around the eyes..what this does is 1. Increases blood flow and 2. will loosen the blood cells that are sitting under the skin...do this for 20-30 mins depending on the severity of the circles.

AFTERWARDS....your eyes will feel hot or warm...this is good...now take a wash cloth and run it under hot water...dont burn yourself...wring it out..but leave damp...lay back and place on your eyes...when cloth begins to cool...flip it over and use other side...what this does is the heat from the cloth..expands the veins, and also loosens the blood cells stuck benieth the skin...also the warmth with bring color (redish, pink) around your eyes...also helping to eliminate the darkness.

NEXT...take that wash cloth..and run it under cold water....and lay back and place on your eyes...what this does..is now that your veins are expanded..and the blood under the skin is active and moved away from the skin...when you apply the cold cloth...this shrinks the veins...preventing blood to get to the surface...maintaining the work you have done previously with the warm cloth...when cloth warms...flip over and use other side...

FINALLY...apply lotion (or even better, use a hemroid cream) what this does is tighten and moisturizes the skin...reducing bags under the eyes...

NOW LOOK IN MIRROR AND SMILE ;)

ok, so i've been on this website ah couple times reading about these so called 'remedies'. i ddnt have all the ingredients of some remedies so i ddnt try them. then i came across the fish oil capsules & i found some gelcapsules in my cabinet. it was Vitamin A that contained fish oil. i got ah small pill & pierced through it with ah knife. through the small hole, i squeezed it all out to my palm. i applied it to my dark circles [all of it] & massaged them for ah while until it wasnt so oily. my left eye'z 'dark circle' was always ah little lighter then the one on my right eye. i've used this method three times & my left eye one is almost completely gone, while the dark circle on my right eye has been getting lighter. its still noticeable, but much less than before. oh, im 14 years old by the way :). i've also been drinking ah lot more water than before - that seems to be helping as well. i've also noticed that this fish oil has made my skin smoother [i have applied it all over my face & forehead - not jut my dark circles] & it has made ah great improvement. i dnt get acne, but i had one on my forehead & it went away as well. this method is amazing! i will continue doing this & i'll update again! you must try this! best of luck!

I\'ve been using the fish oil and almond oil everydaY and sometimes twice a day, since April 1st. Mostly at night and in the morning. At first I was seeing very slight improvement but now it seems exactly the same with no improvement at all. It seems that the main problem area is the inner corners of the eyes. Its been almost 3 months now so I doubt that it will get any better. I heard about this new cream thats been advertised \"hydrolize\" has anyone tried it or know anything about it?? I just wanna find out some info & get some opinions about this stuff before I try it. Positive or negative feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanx....

#114 - Maylana - 06/28/2009 - 21:47
I was trying olive oil and sugar mixed together for dry skin. Used just before you get out of the shower, then rinse it works. I decided to scrub my face with it. I was surprise that it lighten up the dark circles under my eyes. Fast results but not completely gone until a couple times.
#115 - Brenda - 06/30/2009 - 08:38
I'm also 13 and I have dark bags under my eyes. I thought I was the only thirteen year old, cause my friends don't have them, but obviously I'm not. I want them to go away so badly. They are caused from many different things. Mine came about two or so years ago, or one, and my mom said it could be that I need sleep, go to bed earlier. I know that's why I have dark circles, because after I came back from vacation last year, I started going to bed earlier. And like in about a week they started clearing up. But I can't keep that up unfortunately. I keep falling asleep like after eleven. So what I know is that I need to push myself to go to bed earlier, and use some of these remedies also. I also use fish oil capsules, poke it with a pin, and rub it under my eyes before I go to bed. I'm not a persistent person, so I didn't keep doing that, so it didn't work. So now I'll put the fish oil capsule under my eyes more often and consistently. I'll also use the cucumbers and tea bags. Thanks so much everyone. Hope something works for you guys, and for me.

#120 - k - 08/06/2009 - 10:24
ACTUAL REASON FOR DARK CIRCLES UNDER EYES:
INTERNAL BLEEDING FROM TINY BLOOD VEINS FROM EYES, NOSE, HEAD ETC,
DEAD BLOOD CELLS DEPOSITED UNDER THE EYES,
AVOID DUST, FUMES, SMOKE ENTERING INTO YOUR EYES OR NOSE, AVOID DAMAGES INSIDE YOUR EYES BY RUBBING, AVOID DAMAGING YOUR NOSE BY BLOWING ETC, EAT VITAMIN A AND E ENRICH FOOD, DRINK MORE WATER, EAT VEGETABLES.

#122 - hopeless - 08/11/2009 - 16:36
Some of the comments here are useful but I must say I think there is a lot of confusion as to the difference between darks circles and bags under the eyes. Dark circles are much easier to hide, eyebags and eye puffiness are not !
Cucumber, ice packs, gel masks, tea bags are likely to slightly improve puffiness or bags, but don't make any difference to dark circles.
For both problems drinking lots of water and having a good diet will help.

im 14 and i had bags under my eyes ever since!! i hated when i had to look in the mirror. anyway im going to try some of these remedies!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for the ppl how posted these helpful tips :-) YOU ARE ALLL AWESOME!!!!!!;-)
#126 - ashley - 08/25/2009 - 18:25
I have to say that many comments aren't neccessary. If you have a solution, post it, please. If you only want to say that things are crappy, don't. And a healthy diet doesn't mean you won't have the problem, it is genetic and not something you can just eat better to make go away.
However, I've tried several of the solutions posted here, and they DO WORK!!!! But not every single one of them will work for every person so be patient and just keep trying new ideas.
Best Wishes to all the beautiful women out there!!!
#127 - Tiffany - 08/27/2009 - 02:41
before looking @ a way 2 aleviate the problem we have to work backwards and look @ the cause - many times the dark circles r a result of a food sensitivity - removing milk, caffeine, and meat from the diet took my racoon look away - along with a long bout with acne - remove things one by one - or do a rotation

the doctor told me that most of the time, dark circles are caused by allergies and by using a nasal spary like nasacourt, will get rid of them!

Who r YOU to tell ppl that their comments aren't neccessary?? They can post whatever they want. But positive as well as negative feed back IS "neccessary". Positive-so other ppl can try too & negative-so ppl won't waste time trying a lot of things that have not really worked. But meanwhile GOOD LUCK to all trying to find a cure because it can really change your life and make a huge difference. Please don't give up..... again GOOD LUCK!

#135 - mounisha - 10/03/2009 - 08:41
Cold used tea bags and cucumber slices deffo. Wash face with luke warm water instead of cold water and a cold spoon on each eye will reduce puffyness as well. Try not to put make up under the eyes like. ;-) xx
#136 - Naomi - 10/04/2009 - 13:10
Dark circles are basically blood pooling underneath your eyes....broken capillaries..they can only be fixed with lasers...however you can minimize the puffiness and the darkness somewhat with home remedies. Try to go to a medical laser aesthetics school and getting it done ..its cheaper because its a school.;-)
#137 - corey - 10/11/2009 - 22:55

THE REAL
REASON WHY WE HAVE
DARK Circles is:

GLARE From any monitor devices, like your computer, television, cellphones, hand helds.
Everyone is spending 16 hours a day staring into monitors every day.(even you right now)

Reduce the time you expose your eyes to comp/tv and try home remedies + time and it should go away.
#143 - The Reason - 10/19/2009 - 23:44
I don't think I can speak for everyone, but I found that the best treatment for my dark circles aren't topical (things you put on your face).
What a lot of people don't realize is that sinus problems can lead to dark circles (part of my problem since I have mild allergies), and even how you sleep at night will affect it. I sleep on the right side of my face, and the bag under that eye is significantly worse.
My remedy?
One night I slept with two pillows under my head, so my head was higher than the rest of me, and resolved not to toss and turn. I took some vitamins (I am iron deficient anemic, another cause of dark circles) also took a benadryl for allergies. The next morning, my usually black bags were almost completely gone.
Of course, if I get a cold or sleep funny, or eat terribly, they come back.

tl;dr? Basically, the most effective cures are going to be lifestyle changes, not topical treatments. Sleep with your head up, get enough iron, eat right and get rid of allergies. Cheap and effective. :)

I am 34 years old and I am sufferring from Nail Fungul in my both toe of my feets from last 4 years, but by applying combination of tea tree oil, olive oil and eycluptus oil on the infected toe daily after washing properly with warm water, I got tremdendous benifit in my toe and now my toe is completely infection free. So, please apply the same formula for any kind of nail fungul. Thanks.

My circles and slight bags just started to appear a few weeks ago and Im 47 years old...maybe its just age, but i do work on the pc alot about 10-12 hours a day looking at my LCD ..mmm maybe thats it, also going to try a lot of water and sleeping with head more elevated, again will report back in a week or so.

#148 - Mark - 11/07/2009 - 12:58
I failed to mention in my last post that I do sleep on my right side a lot and it seems my right eye is a little more darker circle than the left and is a bit more puffier, maybe the head elevation thing might work I'll let the forum know if it does.
