i hope i helped someone;-)
The below is a home remedy I created myself and it does work.
1. Wash the face with a mild soap using warm water and gently pat your face with a face clothe ( do not rub the face or dry completely leave face moiste.
2. Use an exfolient and gently with a cotton ball cleanse above the and below pat dry with a dry cotton ball ( do not dry completely leave top and bottom of eye moiste.
3. Use a facial moisterzier under both the top and bottom of the eye and gently rub in a circular motion.
4. Take 5 slices of cucumber apiece of 1" long Aloe and 2 green tea packets ( empty the tea ) and put all into a blender.
5. Add 1oz of rosewater into the blender and put blender speed crush. Crush until is find then blend for 30 seconds.
6. Take ingrediants and gently apply to bottom on the eye rubbing in slow circular motions.
7. Leave on eyes for approx 30 minutes.
8. After the 30 minutes are up use warm water to rinse off and gently pat the eye dry.
NOTE: This works for me and others I have recommend it to but please keep in mind that this is something that needs to be done when you have the time and atleast 3 times a week for several weeks. You will however notice a slight change in the darkness of the cirlces to be a little lighter.
APPLYING CONCEALER, COVER-UP AND POWDER
When applying make up.
1. Use a concealer that is a shade lighter than your cover-up and gently blend in a circular motion.
2. The use a yellow and a blue concealer under the eye and gently blend in a circular motion.
3. When putting your cover-up on do not blend in by your eyes. ( being the cover-up is darker than the concealer if you blend in under the eye you will make the cirlces darker because of the cover-up.
4. Lightly dust the facial powder onto your face and under the eye.
DRAWING ATTENTION TO THE UPPER PART OF YOUR EYE AND NOT THE BOTTOM
1. Use a liquid eyeliner on the top eyelid not the bottom. You need to use black and black only.
2. Do not use shades pink and purple eye shadows. By doing do will then enhance the dark circles under your eyes.
3. Do not put mascara on your bottom lashes once again this will draw attention to the bottom of your eyes
Im 15 now and they are terrible.
No matter how much I sleep they dont seem to fade.
I have tried ice, and keep spoons in the fridge but they just get rid of the puffiness not the actuall dark circles.
I go through a concealer a week and its becoming quite expensive and it doesnt stay on throughout the day.
I also read that its genetic but no one in my family has them.
Is there a cheap, effective way of getting rid of them as they really make me lack confidence.
And whats the best food which contains a lot of fibre as i lack that too.
Thanks.

But this fantastic solution worked for me.. and i want to share it with you also! Because it really does work =P
---->
Mix honey and flour to form a sloppy mixture.. along with a few drops of lemon juice! Add water to allow it to become just that little less solified and apply below your eyes! Keep it on until the flour hardens and starts to crumble. This should be about 10-15 minutes. Once its off.. wash your face with warm water! Apply every day- have a fixed time! I used to do it every evening =D.. And you'l have the WOW-FACTOR in no time!
Look beautiful.. Feel beautiful [X]
one word...HYLEXIN!!! it'll cost ya $95 but...works wonders...just apply under the eyes 'dark circles', see the difference in a couple of days to a week!
it's easy and it actually works!!!
I bought Hylexin for $100 and used it for 8 months now and it did not help one bit! So home remedys are the way to go. Until you've done them all don't waste your money.
I have large dark circles AROUND eyes.
Very hard for me to get more then 7 hours sleep a night.
can one please email me a sure enough way to rid this embarrising look from my face. I also have very pale face and skin in general. 30/m needs help. please
is there a way to get rid of them with out putting gross stuff on your eyes????
(the coffe mixed with cold water)
its a quick fix though, and not permanent.
Gd luck
:-D
A yellow tinted stick concealer (best is Physician's Formula Gentle Cover Concealer Stick in Yellow). Apply it as much as needed to cover any dark areas. Then apply a slightly lighter shade (than you would use on the entire face) of liquid foundation over the under eye area and blend. Next, take a mineral foundation (I use Physician's Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear Loose Powder) and dust it over the under eye area (this mineral loose powder also works wonders on the whole face and gives it a nice glow). If after those steps the under eye area is too light to match the rest of your face, simply take your bronzer and lightly sweep it under your eyes but make sure to blend the bronze color to match the rest of your face for a nice summery glow and no dark circles! Hope it works for ya'll!
COTTON WOOL SOAKED IN COLD MILK WITH ICE, LEAVE ON EYES FOR 10 MINUTES

CUCUMBER MUSH MIXED WITH COLD YOGHURT FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES

TEA BAGS MIXED WITH ICY COLD WATER LEFT ON EYES FOR ABT 10 MINUTES

i have it dark circles all around my eyes and i am lookin for something natural to experiment with but this is good for now untill something comes along.
and for that comment about pee? are u serious? thats kinda werid ... anyone else tried it?
Get:
A concealer that is almost white compared to your skin tone... make sure it's not a liquid concealer, but rather, one of those cream ones in a stick or a pot
A tan bronzer
Use your ring finger to pat on concealer (don't rub or you're wasting your time) until it's even all over your dark circle areas. Then take a contour brush and put the bronzer over the under-eye area.
The light concealer and the bronzer work miracles together, cancel out in colour, and in many cases end up with an airbrushed effect.
Always take off your makeup with eye-makeup remover designed for waterproof stuff. It's a bit oily, but you can wash off any residue, and there's less vigorous rubbing on the eye-area.
Make a paste of garlic, clove & mint of equal proposition adding to one table spoon. Add lemon & sparow drops of equal proposition to the earlier paste & apply evenly to the eye & upto the nose. This is because the skin stretches on drying. You can also make this paste & add amla (04 pieces) and consume for cleansing. This has worked wonders, try it.
hope it works!;-)
I think whether or not these remedies depends on what has caused the dark circles under your eyes. So if these haven't worked I'd suggested seeing a Beauty Therapist (don't be afraid to ask about his/hers qualifications.) Perhaps your skin is prone to having bags or you need moisture more often or whatever it is.
Naturally this will cost money but these people are trained and shall be knowledgeable about all facets of the skin.
They may advise a product. These products are more often then not expensive. Keep in mind though that unlike supermarket skin ranges these are being sold to a very informed consumer. They have to be clincally tested and contain concentrated things like Vitiam A which doesn't come cheap. Most home remedies are effective because they contain a lower dosage of vitiams or whatever naturally. This isn't really helpful if your problem isn't completely average.
What I do when see a Beauty Therapist after the treatement is I ask for a sample. Why should I be spending money without first hand evidence? I also find out what the active ingredient is and see if other skin care companies sell a similar product for cheaper. Make sure that it doesn't contain alcohol as this will ruin the skin in the long run. (Like ProActive which rids the skin of pimples by completely robbing of it's natural oils which can lead to early wrinkles.)
Also ask about natural or cheaper remedies. I have to be careful with mine as I have very fragile skin. So I explained that I really can't afford anything. I was thus advised to always wear sunscreen and told about a rather cheap effective mask which can be made at home.
If the Beauty Therapist doesn't help complain about them to your friends so no one will go there. hahaha
Then see a Doctor and find out if the problem is caused by a lack of iron or whatever. Or perhaps ask your local chemist if they still any treatments and which one rated the best in clinical tests.
You can do something by making yourself informed about the cause of the problem and researching the various solutions.
I don't whether or not that was helpful but I hope it was. Good luck in banishing those bags!
I'm going to try the cucumber thing.
it seems like everyone is getting these..and i thought i was the only one.
but PLZ PLZ PLZ if anyone gets a good remedy that is natural, doesn't need tons of stuff, and one that ACTUALLY WORKS Plz tell me!!! Thanks..
1. Go to bed at 9:30 the latest.
2. Get a warm flannel or cloth and lay on your eyes untill it goes cold.
3. Rub some Mouisturiser around the dark circles in a circular mosian.
3. Get at lease 9 hours sleep.
4. In the morning slip on Some plain teabags to reduce the bags.
5. Your eyes will feel dry so slip on two slices of cucumber to freshen them up, it will also brighten up your eyes, also you could dry brightening drops if you need to.
6. Get some concealer and try your best to blend it in and dab some pressed powder over the top.
7. Also you could try some brown eyeliner which will make your dark circles less noticable.
Hope this helps! Good luck x

mix

-thank you for the help-
thanxs for help :-)
What you will need:
*moisturizer
*orange lipstick (matte with no shimmer)
*concealer
*powder
First apply a moisturizer all around your eye. Then dab a very small amount of the orange lipstick on the dark circles. Next use your concealer over the orange (you can also use it on your eyelid which makes your eyeshadow last a lot longer). Lastly you lightly apply a powder foundation over the concealer under the eye.
Hope this works for some of you!
OK...the thin skin under your eyes are loaded with tons of capolaries..tiny veins that contain blood of course...and what happens is...blood escapes from these and rise to the surface...much like a bruise
NOW...a quick, free and easy fix is simple...while your watching your favorite TV show...use 1 or 2 fingers and tap around the eyes..what this does is 1. Increases blood flow and 2. will loosen the blood cells that are sitting under the skin...do this for 20-30 mins depending on the severity of the circles.
AFTERWARDS....your eyes will feel hot or warm...this is good...now take a wash cloth and run it under hot water...dont burn yourself...wring it out..but leave damp...lay back and place on your eyes...when cloth begins to cool...flip it over and use other side...what this does is the heat from the cloth..expands the veins, and also loosens the blood cells stuck benieth the skin...also the warmth with bring color (redish, pink) around your eyes...also helping to eliminate the darkness.
NEXT...take that wash cloth..and run it under cold water....and lay back and place on your eyes...what this does..is now that your veins are expanded..and the blood under the skin is active and moved away from the skin...when you apply the cold cloth...this shrinks the veins...preventing blood to get to the surface...maintaining the work you have done previously with the warm cloth...when cloth warms...flip over and use other side...
FINALLY...apply lotion (or even better, use a hemroid cream) what this does is tighten and moisturizes the skin...reducing bags under the eyes...
NOW LOOK IN MIRROR AND SMILE ;)
i'm tring garnier now
you no wat you should do... burn your faces sso no one can look at you..HAHAHAHAHA
YOUR UGLY
UGLY:-P
btw im a guy, should i try concealer?
INTERNAL BLEEDING FROM TINY BLOOD VEINS FROM EYES, NOSE, HEAD ETC,
DEAD BLOOD CELLS DEPOSITED UNDER THE EYES,
AVOID DUST, FUMES, SMOKE ENTERING INTO YOUR EYES OR NOSE, AVOID DAMAGES INSIDE YOUR EYES BY RUBBING, AVOID DAMAGING YOUR NOSE BY BLOWING ETC, EAT VITAMIN A AND E ENRICH FOOD, DRINK MORE WATER, EAT VEGETABLES.
Cucumber, ice packs, gel masks, tea bags are likely to slightly improve puffiness or bags, but don't make any difference to dark circles.
For both problems drinking lots of water and having a good diet will help.
However, I've tried several of the solutions posted here, and they DO WORK!!!! But not every single one of them will work for every person so be patient and just keep trying new ideas.
Best Wishes to all the beautiful women out there!!!
Who r YOU to tell ppl that their comments aren't neccessary?? They can post whatever they want. But positive as well as negative feed back IS "neccessary". Positive-so other ppl can try too & negative-so ppl won't waste time trying a lot of things that have not really worked. But meanwhile GOOD LUCK to all trying to find a cure because it can really change your life and make a huge difference. Please don't give up..... again GOOD LUCK!

REASON WHY WE HAVE
DARK Circles is:
GLARE From any monitor devices, like your computer, television, cellphones, hand helds.
Everyone is spending 16 hours a day staring into monitors every day.(even you right now)
Reduce the time you expose your eyes to comp/tv and try home remedies + time and it should go away.
What a lot of people don't realize is that sinus problems can lead to dark circles (part of my problem since I have mild allergies), and even how you sleep at night will affect it. I sleep on the right side of my face, and the bag under that eye is significantly worse.
My remedy?
One night I slept with two pillows under my head, so my head was higher than the rest of me, and resolved not to toss and turn. I took some vitamins (I am iron deficient anemic, another cause of dark circles) also took a benadryl for allergies. The next morning, my usually black bags were almost completely gone.
Of course, if I get a cold or sleep funny, or eat terribly, they come back.
tl;dr? Basically, the most effective cures are going to be lifestyle changes, not topical treatments. Sleep with your head up, get enough iron, eat right and get rid of allergies. Cheap and effective. :)
SOMEBODY I NEED REAL RESULTS!
My son has got the same problem as you. Dark circle around the eyes. My mother gave a very good home remedy which worked for him. Take a pinch of powdered milk, mix with a little water and spread in well under your eyes before bedtime. Wash in the morning. Best of Luck.
best of luck all of u.................i suggest u just use crushed potato or cucumber on your eyes 4 just 20 minutes...it will work on u very fast..... bye bye:-D:-D:-D:-D
..just u have to try,,,unboiled milk on ur eyes with the help of cotton,,b4 bed time,B-)
Best of luck to all. :)Don't let them dang circles ruin your self confidence!

!
equal parts
-snot
-ear wax
-spit
-toe jam
-belly button fuzz
-pee
-poop
-tarter (crushed into a powder)
-blood (this is for color and it is optional)
mix into a paste and dab onto affected area. let it sit for exactly 22 minutes a day.
Miracle.
1. get enough sleep!!
and
2. drink allot of water!!
trust me it WILL work
Please don't put lemon juice or any harsh, acidic ingredients near your eyes (tomato juice, etc.) Your vision is valuable!
Dark circles are often the result of 1) genetics, and 2) allergies. Very seldom, 3) lack of sleep. Dehydration will cause sunken eyes, not dark circles.
Fix: 1) concealer. 2) ANTIHISTAMINE (Claritin, Zyrtec, etc.) I'm talking over the counter, pill form, antihistamine allergy medication. 3) concealer, more sleep.
Seriously, most of the time, this is allergies. Try an OTC antihistamine like Claritin and see if your circles improve. If you find that certain times of year (fall, spring) your circles are worse, then allergies are most likely the culprit, especially in young girls.
Hope this helped! :)
Dr. C
First you need to realize there is no quick, permanent fix for dark circles. They are popped blood vessels. So you need to be gentle with your skin. Never rub your eyes.
For removing the color, I find that crushing two aspirin tablets and one benadryl allergy ( I have chronic allergies and benadryl gets rid of swelling, so this will help with those who have puffy eyes as well), and add a little bit of water until its pasty. put ALL of it on your eye and let it sit there until it stops tingling. It isn't quick by any means, it takes about two weeks to start seeing great results.
I would say avoid beauty products. They are expensive and generally don't work.
For people who just recently got dark circles, cucumbers could work fairly well.
I would just say experiment with your own skin, and to avoid expensive products because they will most likely waste your money.
Good luck.
I'm 24 & in cosmetology school studying to be an Esthetician. I have really bad, dark circles under my eyes sometimes in the mornings. Mine is from ALLERGIES. A lot of people have this problem too and don't realize it. Ask your doctor if you have bad allergies what you can take for them. I take over the counter benadryl. Don't put anything but moisturizers and eye creams that are MEANT for the eye area! You can also put spoons in the freezer and apply them to your eye... it helps the swelling.
Good luck! :)

You will need...
-2 tea bages
-a microwave safe cup
-a towel
- and honney
Procedure...
Lay a towel on your bed , couch , or even the ground if u would like . Fill the cup with a inch of water . Next , get the 2 tea bags and rub honey on one side of each bag . Place the bag in the cup with waterand put it in the microwave for 40 seconds on high or 80 seconds on low . While that is going on ... Wash your face with a cleanser and dab a papertowel on your face to get it damp .Once the tesa is done in the microwave ... dab the tea all over your face while you cool the tea bags for 5-10 seconds . Then , lay down with your head on the towel and place the tea bags on your eyes for 10-15 minutes . Once this is done if the tea on your face is not dry hold it close to a fan or a air vent for a few seconds ... Last but not least ... Wash your face with cool water and dry off ... the effect will come within a week :) Hope this helps !
1. Stick to ONE remedy at a time! If you try a bunch of things at once you're not going to know exactly which remedy worked for you.
2. Try each one at least 2 weeks, or longer if you can. From my experience there isn't any remedy out there that works overnight (except make-up).
3. Take a picture of your dark circles before you start a remedy, and then take one after a while and compare objectively.
4. Start with the easiest remedy first. If you're broke, try drinking lots of water first. If you think you may have an allergy, try an antihistamine first.
I wish that the people who were trying things from the previous posts would come back to let us know how it worked.
I'm going to try to remember to come back - I am going to try Benadryl (antihistamine) since none of the other remedies are working for me.
Also Mike, you should see a psychiatrist to help you with the insomnia, stress, depression and underage drinking. Maybe once you get that taken care of, the dark circles will go away. You're too young to have all those problems but there are a lot of ways you can treat it.
I just want to add that I can breathe fine so I never thought I had an allergy but there you have it. I also read people can get allergic reactions - including sinus & eye reactions - from eating certain foods so I'm thinking that's what's wrong with me.
If you have dark circles and you have health insurance and I strongly suggest you go to the doctor and get checked for allergies - including wheat and other foods. I know that's what I would do if I had health insurance...good luck!
I only recently started using cover-up because I had a hell of a time finding one that's rosy and pasty at the same time. Before that the color was always way too dark or way too yellow, but the Hard Candy Nobody's Perfect pallet was just right so I can just apply a dab around my eyes right before I put on eyeshadow for makeup days.
If you can't find your color, or don't want to, consider this: Edward Cullen has masive dark circles and millions think he's [@]y anyway. I also had good luck rocking gothic style, wich works even better if you leave your dark circle as is, and can help you find someone who thinks you are hot just the way you are. The right style of glasses for your face can also help hide the dark color.
As far as guys in makeup, I think it's hot(especially eyeliner), but some would call it gay. If you don't care, more power to you, but if you are already a target of jerks with big mouths, you may not want to add to the ammunition they already have.
I don't know that almond oil dose anything for dark circles, but it's a wonderful after bath moisturizer. Save money and skip getting it from the heath food store though, and go to the grocery store instead. Look in the cooking oil section, and you can get a decent sized bottle for $4-$6 bucks, and rubbing down once a weak, that should last about a year.
Lastly, I had a lot of trouble reading many comments because apparently many people are too lazy to type all the letters of a word. Trust me, it's Ok to use all the vowels.

I have decided to take pictures as one user suggested for before and after to see which remedy is effective and do the ten day test. Also I have decided that the lemon, honey, flour is what I WILL try to reduce the dark circle as its getting the most postive results in the thread from multiple people. Well I hope to let you know what works in a month or so..goodluck everyone!
PLZ... :(
THANKS GUYS :)
Here are some rememdies that DO work , but they take a while ( a few weeks) and you have to do them most nights :( But unless your going to have surgery or use expensive creams () These are the best ways.
2 THIN cucumber slices overyour eyes for 15 mins.
COLD teabags over your eyes for 15mins
Raw potato slices/ gratings
also watch some videos on utube for good ideas ;) My dark circles are AWFUL but when i use these methods , they start fading :) :D
Hope this helps ;)

I do have a dark, ya..is seriously dark circle all around my eye since i was 12..and i'm now 27 years old! I have no much friends when i was 12 till 17 as ppl seem scare of me! :( and now i've been wearing makeup wherever i go.,..and i really tired of it! Do let me know if there is any solution for this....i don't want to wear makeup for the rest of my life!!!! I've tried almost every method mention here!! :-(
At the moment, what i did is massaging my eye everyday...and using Origins Plantitode mushroom serum...hopefully it will help! :)
Apply Holy Water under the eyes with the tips of your finger and pray nightly. Have faith and you shall be healed of this blemish.

i hate it because it makes your face looks dull.
i tried evythn but it dsnt wrk.. but few months back i joined this co. called mary kay
n i am using all the skin care n targeted eye revitalizer the product lasts for an yr. n i am jus loving it.
itz really worth trying it my fellow friends.
Why risk hurting the eyes you see with by putting acidic stuff like tomato juice to the skin on your eyes?
Try to accept and love yourself the way God made you! Dark skin under your eyes does NOT make you ugly. Be kind, loving, and gentle, look out for the needs of others and consider them above yourself and everyone will see you as beautiful. What you see in the magazines is NOT true beauty. True beauty is real people behaving in a comely fashion.
and lush ur amzing carol u r so right girl!!!

GRRRRRRR! I am only 12 and I have HORRID eyebags. I try to get enough sleep, I eat healthy and I put icepacks on my eyes often. I can't try the other expensive stuff wel cuase . . . anyways. None of my freinds have them so ... something fast easy and not expensice or I have to buy?
The most natural way to get rid of bags under eyes is to know what is causing them ,and based on that use a natural remedy. (not the quickest way ((trust me!!)) but it helps in the long way)
I used to have really dark bags under my eyes. After using these remedies, I was able to reduce them by A LOT!!!
P.S. I tried the cucumber over eyes remedy but it didn't work for me. Try it and see if that works (I doubt it)
If you have any comments or advice for me- just tell me it. Or if you have any more questions just ask me!!!! (no, not really 'cause I'm not an expert on this stuff- just a person sharing experiences) B-)
- get a good amount of sleep (7-8 hours is reasonable), but *do not* over-sleep. Sleeping too much seems to make dark circles worse in some cases (and it can make a person feel more tired as well)
- eat a balanced diet, with fruits and vegetables always included whenever possible
- make sure you're getting enough iron in your diet
- try to avoid too much salt or sugar
- when thirsty, choose water whenever possible
- I've read that sleeping with your head slightly elevated can help both dark circles or under eye bags. Try sleeping on a pillow that isn't too flat, see if there is a difference.
- practice deep breathing; this seems to improve circulation and make dark circles appear better
- once in a while, very gently tap around the under eyes with your finger tips; this is also good for circulation
- when waking up, take a cloth and wet it with cool / cold water, and slightly hold against the eye area. Make sure the water is not ice cold or anything, because that would be too harsh for the skin.
- take good care of the skin under the eyes; look into finding an appropriate eye cream that moisturizes the skin in a gentle way without causing irritation.
I also wanted to mention: it's often said that people with dark circles may have thinner skin under the eyes. I guess I tend to believe this is possible too, however, I just wonder why it is that my dark circles seem slightly better in certain odd moments. If the skin under there isn't changing, then i'm not sure what's happening. One time, I was..just watching a bit of tv and sitting on a rocking chair. I went to the bathroom and noticed to my surprise that my dark circles were a lot lighter. I really couldn't figure out what made them lighter on that occasion. I wasn't doing anything that day that I hadn't done before. Then, within an hour or less, they were darker again for some reason : [. Dark circles seem pretty mysterious and hard to understand. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences or advice.
I do get enough sleep sometimes i think a bit to much. I sleep around 10 hours at night. :-D i know it is not good to have so much sleep. So was wondering if that could be my problem?
Hope my Husband will see the results and be happy. He to is worried about the circles under my eyes.
Well i've got nothing to loose thank you so much for all the advise...B-)
It worked for me , it didn't remove them completely but it definitely lightened them.:-)
so if you want to get rid of your dark eye circles avoid gluten. its not easy as glutenis in everything. it was even in my daily multi vitamin. also you can get a liver detox to speed things up but they are usually not cheap. what i find best is milk thistle tablets they are cheap and found in most supermarkets and chemist. make sure it hasnt got added gluten. another great and cheap liver detoxer is dandelion root. it brews as a tea and its cheap. try doing this for two weeks. you will be amazed with the results. just dont cheat. i did a few times and i could always tell the next day.
well there you go thats the key to your great skin.
Goodluck :-D
hope this helped someone!:-D

Now I'm about 40 years old, then this black circle stay on my face seemingly permanently.
Hopefully on this aging period of time, there's still a hope to cure it, at least to ease it...
I tried in that night and it made a huge difference. The bags aren't totally gone but they've really minimized. I'm hoping after a week they will totally go away.
